Do you ever come to Toronto? I would love to meet you.

I also live in Toronto - Yonge - Eglinton area

I have never been to a raw restaurant yet. I am in the process of organizing a small group of people from the gym that I belong to. The step aerobics instructor just graduated from Naturopathic Medicine and she and I often discuss health issues and we thought about going to LIVE in the next couple of weeks.

If you are amenable for a third person...

EatYourBrocolli: I always get very cold when I am on a fast, so I only do this when it is warm out. Is that not an issue for you?? I have gone 30 days before - very unique experience!!

I have been to LIVE before, it is a beautiful place.
I am usually not really into eating out, I just have a smothy.
I find that even in "LIVE" everything has onions or garlic, which I can't tolerate at all.

Eat your broccoli, good luck with your fast. Is it an apple juice fast or a water fast? I only fasted for one day before. I would like to do a 3 day fast next time.

Alex, I am really interested in joining your group. It is great to meet like minded people. I have a few friends and clients (I am a graphic/web designer), who are in the holistic health industry. I don't know enybody who is raw. I am fairly new to the diet and would like to see a "living proof" that it works.

This week is my 1st week 100% raw, and I feel amazing. (was high raw for a while before). I don't feel as hungry as before, more energetic & need less sleep.

I think I miscombined foods a few times & had some indigistion. I would have to fine tune that.

very berry: its a juice fast that im sure will evolve into a water fast..im already sick of the sugar from all the juice :p

alex..ive been very cold so far lol. ive been walking around INSIDE the house with jeans, long sleeve t, sweatshirt, ugg-like boots, and a hat. and the thermostats set at 22 already. oh well..luckily my bedroom has its own thermostat which i happily raise to 24 at night (happily for now..until the heating bill arrives  )

VeryBerry:

The group that I am organizing is a gym group that has been together for a couple of years now - even significant others are left at home. I am the only raw fooder in the group and usually have to take some ribbing from the others about this. I am not sure that joining this group would in any way help you get the living proof that you are after.

There is however a raw food meetup group here in Toronto. I have not yet been to it but intend to join in the new year.

I would like to stay in touch with you as I may be requiring your graphic arts/ web services sometime in the new year if my plans go according to schedule.

EatYourBrocolli:

I remember the first long fast I did as a grad student (18 days). It was summer - very hot out, but I had to attend a 1 hour lecture in an air conditioned room. By the end of the lecture I was so cold I was shaking uncontrollably. After the lecture I got in my car, turned the heater on full and drove around for an hour before my shaking stopped. Please be careful!!

I believe there is only one Naturopathic College here in Toronto, so yes, Sara probably graduated from that one. If you would like I could ask her if she would mind getting in touch with you so you could chat. She is one of the nicest people I have met.

I would like to get know everyone a little better.

So here are some questions:

What is your name?
How long have you been on the raw food diet?
What motivated you to go raw?
Do you have a spouse and/or kids?
What do you do for a living?
How old are you? (feel free to disregard this question)

So, I will anwer my own questions now.

My name is Nicole.
I have been hight raw 60% (give & take) for about 2 years now.
100% for 1 week.
My motivation to go raw:
1. Health (to get rid of digestive problems & pms, have more energy)
2. Want to be clean from the inside out.
3. Love raw food!
4. Intensly dislike cooking.
I am a graphic/web designer.
I am 28 years old, I don't have any kids yet, and I am getting married soon.

VerryBerry:

One of my rules is that I don't go to websites that require me to lower my security and privacy settings (which are always set to maximum). I broke the rule a few times and now I get 20 - 40 spam emails a day - a real pain!!!

All the samples that you gave require me to do so, so I have not viewed them - but that is OK - I believe you!

I will keep your email address for future reference.

Take the best care

alex
