Is it okay to consider store bought frozen fruit raw? Companies wouldn't boil it before freezing, would they? Thanks.

Hmm...I'm still confused. I guess we have to contact the company directly. What would they do to it to not make it raw? Thanks!

Sometimes they blanch it to kill micro-organisms and bacteria.

On the back of my frozen raspberries it said that you had to boil them for one minute - because the company hadn't done it - but I mean, thats just stupid...
If you boil berries for one minute they are all "SMHJFTUtft..." and then they are of no use in a refreshing smoothie...
So yes, I guess my answer is - some frozen fruit is raw! :D Alba

This is why I never knew I actually liked raspberries until I had fresh. I couldn't stand them frozen. Then I tasted fresh, organic ones & yum! A new fruit to add to my list of ones I enjoy.
