lol for the title of this post. I'm going to search about this topic, but I only have a minute and I'd like to ask this. Plus, I've most recently eaten a brownie the size of my head, and it's in the midst of a sin that we ask forgiveness, right? Anyway, as a girl I love chocolate. :p I think it was sent strait from God to fix all of my problems. When ever I'm moody or lazy I want chocolate. How do the raw girls out there deal with your chocolate cravings? What helps you when you need a fix. Do you have a favorite recipe that helps you fill the craving and not feel guilty (and stay raw, of course)? Thanks a bunch!

Many different things. Banana ice cream w/carob powder & agave, carob fudge or one of the ready-made treats I keep on hand like a raw bar. There are many recipes w/raw chocolate too that many use. Rawpriestess's brownies are the best.

Oh, I agree - RP's brownies RAWK! But I made a pudding using avocados, coconut oil, vanilla, cacao powder and man oh man! Did it rock MY chocolate world! WHOA! Very rich, and chocolately. I posted a picture on the photos only post. I could only eat a couple tablespoons at a time it was so rich!
It is very good. I can't remember where I got the recipe from...

Hi,

Look at the recipe for chocolate pudding on Maraw's site therawfoodtable.com - it is absolutely wonderful! Her other recipes are also good.

I would also like to add...because I love chocolate too, that raw carob just doesn't cut it for me. I had to start using organic cocoa. I know its not raw, but at least it's organic.....I only use it every once in awhile.....alot of others use raw cocao...but it's just toooo expensive for me! Raw priestess posted a recipe for brownies that's simple. I also used the recipe posted here somewhere for "store bought frosting". They tasted like real brownies. I made fudge brownie sundays one night using these recipes from the board: (do a search, or maybe I'll post them later if you can't find them)
Raw Priestess brownies
"store bought frosting"
banana icecream
chocolate syrup

YUMMY! That will definitely CURE your craving!

carob CANNOT compare to cacao.. try some raw cacao powder, or nibs, or beans, with some honey or agave, then talk about chocolate.

Trust me, as a fellow chocoholic I can assure you that the raw chocolate treats are just as good if not better than the SAD versions and less guilt. Try out some recipes and see for yourself!

Ha, ha, had to laugh when I read this because I always have choc treats on hand or I'm in trouble.

My usuals

raw chocolate recipe found on this site
chocolate macaroons from rfrw (it uses maple though and calls for coco of which I sub raw cacao powder)
recently tried chocolate ice cream from rfrw and it was too grainy from the cashews so dehydrated and it is now delicious moist chocolatey fudgy brownies
coco crispies rfrw
