OK, I have to share this because since having gone RAW(6 weeks ago) I am uncovering layers of myself I never knew existed and it's blowing me away.

Here's a perfect example. Last night I had the desire to draw, which I might add is completely unprecedented for me. I opened up paintshop on my laptop and let my subconscious spew onto a blank canvas. The outcome was fascinating to me. I created 3 pieces that are all very relevant to issues I have been struggling with in some way, and I am working on another two. Now what is so entirely bizzare about this is I have NEVER EVER drawn ANYTHING in my entire life. I had no idea I was able express myself this way, and have never had an inclination to do so.

I think what is different about this is instead of drawing with something in mind, I just allow my subconscious to take control, and that way I am never quite sure what I am about to create, just fascinated with the outcome.

I'm not sure how much credit to give to my raw lifestyle for revealing this, but I thought it'd be cool to share what I have created with you guys, get your opinion and interpretation, and then at the end I could explain what I was expressing with each piece.

Let the sharing begin:

Wow. Thanks, Melissa!! :D

I checked out Ekko's thread, and dropped him a line. How cool is that? Makes me less inclined to chalk it up to coincidence!

I Just Loved reading this post and looking at your work!!!

You opened a doorway that you didn't even know was there and out popped this incredible work!

I would LOVE this in my home too!

You are on to something. It's like when you work things out in your dreams - the subconcious is working it out for you - and here you are doing the same thing while awake.

Gorgeous!

This is GREAT!

The last two you posted kind of remind me of egypt...and I think I see an angel in "Wherever I go, There I am".

I'm really happy for you that you've discovered this about yourself...I hope you become addicted to drawing, it's very fun!

Keep at it and you'll be blown away!

I think it's amazing how being raw uncovers your true self!

You have a lot of creativity in your eyes and considering you've never drawn before, I'd say you're starting to let it flow.

That's cool about letting your subconscious mind do the drawing...I've done that with melodies and beats before and have done it quite a bit in my drawings as well.

I'll write more on this later because I have to go to work now...gotta load up 3 semi trailers today...YAY...exercise!

Kiwi- I'm glad that I returned here and that you posted the other art... it is amazing!
I can't wait to see more...!

Ekko- too funny about the semi. Good, positive way to look at it though :D My husband used to stock shelves at a market on a graveyard shift... he looked at it that same way- PAID GYM he'd say :D Milk it up! (Love the way you put Saturn behind your head on your avatar!)

Catherine- where's your art girl????? You have an imagination... I love your energy! :D

I'll check in with you later...
