Hey there, I was hoping someone would know if the following are raw or not:

-liquid iron (it says yeast free ect). My chiro suggested I take it for a month. I wasn't raw at the time, but very poor diet. I haven't taken the past two days b/c I wasn't sure if it was raw

-flax seed oil

-hemp powder- it says raw and organic on it, so I'm assuming it is? I add it to my green smoothie for the protein

-cod liver oil

I have a feeling only the hemp is raw, so I haven't taken the other three, but wanted to check in case any were!

Thanks!

Supplements are usually a processed, isolated or concentrated source of another food or even a non-food.

It is good to be physcially tested to see if you really are lacking in a nutrient before taking it only based on someone else's advice.

If you want to know if a particular supplement is really raw, the best way would be to contact the manufacturer.

I am not a big fan of supplements, but maybe in some extreme cases they are better than no good food. Even cooked food supported our life for many years, but that does not mean it is the best choice. I would use green supplement on trips, where I can not get greens.
I went to David Wolfe's lecture and was very dissapointed, when he called foods from the garden good foods, but bottled stuff ,what his website sells, superfoods. At the end of the lecture he demonstrated how to make a smoothie and the only fresh ingredient in there was coconut. Everything else came from the bottles...
I believe fresh foods right from the garden are the best food. And if you have defficiencies, maybe you should look into which plants have a lot of perticular nutrient.
