I was wondering if a living food diet is enough to eradicate colon parasite problems, or if certain herbs need to be taken. I have no reason for believing that I have parasites (I don't even know what the symptoms are) but was curious if this was something that needs to be dealt with specifically... or to just let raw food work its magic!!!
Thanks!

No, food alone won't do it. There are three specific herbs that you need to take together in order to kill all parasites and their eggs. There's an anti-parasitic supplement that has all of them, plus some other good herbs in it. It comes along with a colon cleansing program. Taking both of them together seems like the best way to, without a doubt, kill any parasites that you could have - not just in your intestinal tract, but throughout your entire body. The website for this is drnatura.com. The colon cleansing program (where the anti-parasitic is included) is called Colonix. Go check it out.
If you go read the testimonials on that page (of which there are MANY), go look at the parasites section (the testimonials are broken down into sections like IBS, parasites, skin conditions, etc). Also go look at the pictures. Also read the info on why colon cleansing is so important. You can see all of the ingredients of each of their products right on the page. All of it is natural.
You can, of course, just get the three herbs needed to kill parasites. If you do it that way, you should definitely see a naturopath first to find out about dosage, time needed, etc. The three herbs are black walnut hulls, wormwood, and clove. One kills eggs, one kills larvae, and one kills the adult worms. You can't get away with just taking one or two of those things; it has to be all three. Also, Pau D' Arco tea is supposed to help kill parasites. If you're not going to do the colon cleansing/anti-parasite program, seeing a naturopath for advice would be the next best thing as herbs are fairly tricky.
Good luck!

the mix mentioned is what it takes to eliminate parasites. I was a huge sushi eater so I did a cleanse when I went raw using a Parasite Cleanser. Pumpkin seeds are beneficial too.

Are you eating watermelon? Or any other fruit that was intended to be consumed with unnatural human tools? If you are, STOP!
Have you been eating Goji Berries? I recommend eating 12,000 goji berries a day, because these are the most detoxifying of all berries. In fact, I have gone days where I have ate nothing but Goji berries. There are days where you just have to eat nothing but one food, because your body gets accustomed to that particular berry or fruit.

Like you said "let RAW take care of itself". I believe if you eat enough RAW, you will have 4 to 5 bowel movements a day and anything in your colon will come out, especially eggs..

I got rid of parasites (roundworms) from juice fasting for a month, then following that up with a raw diet. I didn't take any special herbs or anything. I did do daily enemas during the month of the fast, though. That was nearly two years ago, haven't seen the critters since.

My hubby and I are cleansing from parasites right now too.
We went to a alternative doctor who reads eye's, tounges, and feet. I didn't feel I had any parasites although I used to have a lot. He said I had a tape worm in my uteras and round worms in my liver. I will be happy to get them out of me ASAP. I cleanse for parasites and fungus twice a year.

I've been reading David Wolfe's newest edition of The Sunfood Diet Success System lately and he mentions in one chapter a juice to make and drink once in the morning and once in the evening for a month, and it will kill/flush out any intestinal parasites you may have.
I don't know where the 2x day for a month thing came from, maybe just his experience in the past and with other people he coached? Anyway, I think it was garlic, onion, jalapeno and ginger with apples. I think. I figured I'm starting to juice daily so maybe I'll try it just because...

How do I know I had parasites? I looked in the toilet one day after going and saw two of them floating around. . .ugh. They looked like earthworms and were about as long (nine or so inches).
I did fruit juice in the morning, veggie juice for lunch and dinner. I also took 3T of spirulina and apple cider vinegar daily, and yes, fresh garlic.

According to most everything I've read, approximately 90% of the US population has parasites in their body. In some countries the rates even higher.
Up until the 1930's, most Americans wormed themselves twice a year. I don't know why people stopped doing it.

Swingbolder, did you see any dead ones that the cleanse had killed or did they just stop showing up?

Are you saying that we shouldn't eat fruit that we can't easily eat with our bare hands? Please explain.

The following cleanse is from: The Cure for all Cancers by Hulda Clark
Hope this helps.
Parasite Cleanse
What you need:
Black Walnut Hull Tincture Extra Strength
Wormwood capsules (200-300mg of wormwood per capsule)
Cloves capsules (500mg per capsule)
Arginine (500mg per capsule)
Ornithine (500mg per capsule)
1.) Black Walnut Hull Tincture
Take the recommended amount in 1/2 cup of water. Sip it on an empty stomach such as before a meal. Sip it, don't gulp it. Add sweetening and flavoring to help it go down if you have a hard time swallowing it, or you may stir it into fruit sauce. Get it down within 15 minutes.
The maximum dose kills any remaining stages throughout the body, including the bowel contents, a location unreachable by a smaller dose or by electric current. The alcohol in the tincture can make you slightly woozy for several minutes. Simply stay seated until you are comfortable again. You may put the tincture in lukewarm water to help evaporate some of the alcohol, but do not use hot water because that may damage the parasiticide power. Then take niacinamide 500mg to counteract the toxicity of the alcohol. You could also feel a slight nausea for a few minutes. Walk in the fresh air or simply rest until it passes.
For a year: Take 2 tsp. Black Walnut Hull Tincture Extra Strength every week or until your illness is but a hazy memory. This is to kill any parasite stages you pick up from your family, friends, or pets.
Family members and friends should take 2 tsp. every other week to avoid reinfecting you. They may be harboring a few parasite stages in their intestinal tract without having symptoms. But when these stages are transmitted to someone who has had cancer, they immediately seek out the unhealed organ to continue multiplying.
You may be wondering why you should wait for five days before taking the large dose. It is for your convenience only. You may have a sensitive stomach or be worried about toxicity or side effects. By the sixth day you will have convinced yourself there is no toxicity or side effect.
Going faster. In fact, if you are convinced after the first drop of the restorative powers of the tincture, take the large dose on the very first day.
Going slower. On the other hand, if you cringe at the thought of taking an herb or you are anxious about its safety, continue the drops, increasing at your own pace, until you are ready to brave the decisive large dose.
2.) Wormwood capsules
Take according to the handy chart. You take the capsules all in a single dose (you may take a few at a time until they are all gone). You take 7 capsules once a week forever, as it states in the Maintenance Parasite Program. Try not to get interrupted before the 6thday, so you know the adult intestinal flukes are dead. After this, you may proceed more slowly if you wish. Many persons with sensitive stomachs prefer to stay longer on each dose instead of increasing according to this schedule. You may choose the pace after the 6th day.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women and infants should not take wormwood. For more information about wormwood toxicity go here.
3.) Cloves
Grocery store ground cloves do not work! They have lost their parasiticide power a long time ago. Take according to handy chart.
4.) Ornithine
Start by taking ornithine, 2 at bedtime on the first night you get it. Take 4 ornithines the second night. Take 6 ornithines at bedtime on the third night. After this take 4 or 6 ornithines at bedtime every night until you are sleeping soundly. Then go off ornithine and see whether your sleep is as good without it. It is not habit forming.
5.) Arginine
Taking ornithine at bedtime may give you so much energy the next day that you don't need to take arginine in the morning. But if going off caffeine (recommended) has you dragging yourself through the morning, take one arginine upon rising and another before lunch and supper. It can make you a bit irritable. Cut back if this happens.
There is no interference with any medication and arginine and ornithine. There is no need to stop any treatment that a clinical doctor or alternative therapist has started you on, provided it is solvent free.

Can you take the capsules as a preventative? Or should it just be done when you know you have parasites/worms?
I'm looking at the dr. natura site and looking at their bottles of the supplements/supports and it seems like it would be something that you take regularly, like a vitamin. Is this correct?
