well we went on our first raw shopping trip today, and i'm berry excited ;)
at first my husband was kind of resisting, but when wikipedia reiterated for him all the things i've been telling him, he decided to try the raw challenge with me. we cleaned out the kitchen and are donating two trashbags full of SAD food to a few friends. he is out eating his last SAD meal at the chinese buffet right now(and he's going to come home stuffed and bloated and feeling icky, i already know.)
we bought lots of fresh, organic fruits and veggies, some nuts and seeds, and some dried fruit and dates. we were pleasantly suprised to find that it cost about the same to buy organic, living foods as it does to buy a weeks worth of SAD food. i'm just waiting for the auction on ebay to end for my juicer, blender, and dehydrator, and then we'll be RAWesome!!
whoot, whoot!
