Anybody remember what the recommended water consumption per weight is??? I know I've seen it posted and I'll admit, I'm too lazy to search it -- hoping someome will know and want to share.

Thanks!!! BD

1/2 your body weight = oz. per day

If you weight 140, you need 70 oz/day. a little over 8 glasses. That is the amount to maintain normal function. If you work out and sweat you would want to drink a bit more.

This is if you are a SAD eater, when you are eating fresh fruits and fresh veggies, you really don't need to force yourself to drink much water, you will have a natural thirst and drink what you need.

I go some days with no water, just fresh fruits, other days, I will drink juices.

some days, If I'm eating dehydrated foods or I'm eating foods with salt, I'll drink alot of water, I think this is a natural process, so just have alot of fresh water around for your kids and yourself, and allow them to drink what they want.

I also have fresh juice always around, orange juice is my favorite, although I do sometimes add mango and pineapple and make smoothies too. YUMMY

Me too when Im on raw I hardly drink at all, provided I have a lot of fresh fruit and veg, and not many nuts seeds or dried fruit.

There are a lot of opinions out there:

1/2 body weight in ounces
1 litre per 50 pounds body weight
1 litre per 30 pounds body weight

If one were eating SAD, I would say at least 1/2 body weight.

If one is eating RAW, if the urine in colourless to pale yellow then one is well hydrated.
