Hello
I'm just starting to try to make some raw recipes for my hubby. I have been following 811 and make no recipes whatsoever. Having said that, I'd like to use almonds to make a pate. I guess I should soak raw almonds for a few hours. Then do I have to peel them? Thanks.

Soak 8-12 hours; no peeling.

I peel.
If you are making almond milk and plan to strain it and throw away the pulp then there is no need to peel but if you are using the entire thing then the peel has nothing worthwhile to give you, is loaded with tannins and puts a strain on your digestive system.
I would like further comments on this as that is what I have learned but it is a tedious process that I would love to be able to skip if someone gives me permission.
(Revvell I am not saying that your permission does not count but there is strength in numbers)
