Well, I did it! I just finished teaching my first Living on Live Food Level II class. Whoohoo! I am really tired, but also really happy about it. I had the nicest lady come - and I think we both had a really great time. Two days is a long time to spend preparing raw food in the kitchen, but we did it. I can't wait to do it again. At the end of the class time Saturday, we had a few friends and family come to enjoy the spoils of our work.

These aren't the best pics, of course, but they'll do. We made, (6) Alissa's pizza, (9) enchiladas, (11) onion dip, (3) chili, and (10) rye bagels and bread sticks. We also made (8) pumpkin pie with a really nice frosting, (7) chocolate chewies, (4) herb crackers, and (1) pistachio crepes with an orange mint cream (2). When everyone had had a chance to enjoy the prepared food, we got out a (5) jackfruit and she and I carved and served it. It was really wonderful!

Anyway, just had to share. It was a great weekend!

Great job, Anna!

Now if you could just head on over to Virginia to do a training :)

Can't wait to get my calendar and the others to give out.

Blessings to you,

EC

BTW, can you post a listing picture by picture labeling each of the foods...I wasn't sure what a few of them were.

You guys crack me up. I have gone back and uploaded the photo again with numbers along with ID tags in the body of the post. I hope this helps some.

And yes, I did include a few other recipes. But for the most part, they were Alissa's and I taught from her training and book.

Girl - you are FAST!

I was wondering if the 9' o clock photo was the pistachio crepes but now I see where they are.

I've never tried a jackfruit before. Looks good!

Congrats!
I think we will all be teaching LOTS of Level Ones and Two in the very near future as our beloved Alissa spreads the word about raw!
I am nervous too about teaching my first L2 but excited at the same time.
Thank you for sharing and making it look easy and fun!
You are a supah stah (as we say in Boston :D )!

Thanks everyone. It really was lots and lots of fun. It was like a raw food prep marathon! We laughed, we cried, we "uncooked." :p

Seriously, at one point we forgot to remove the date pits from the soaked dates before throwing them in the food processor. You should have seen the tomato sauce and processor flying! It was a hoot! Although my poor Jan didn't think as much at the time - I was hysterical! Lessons learned - when you are in a hurry, take time to remove the pits/seeds from the fruit. It makes less mess in the long-run. ;)

I'm off to dream about that increadible pizza!

Anna,

Congratulations!!!!

I am just so excited......I will be signing up for your 11/11/06 - level I and then taking the level II in December!!!!! My friend Chef Norie said she is doing the 10/28/06 class- you will love her - she is the sweetest lady! :D Then there will be 2 of us up north in The Woodlands!!!!!

Must run.....I think with the flooding and rain we have this morning it is going to require a boat and/or snorkel to get my kiddo's to school- Are you guy's getting hit with it in the Richmond area?

Hi FF! I can't wait to meet you and Norie. I think I spoke with her on the phone one day. Is she the personal chef that wants to lean more toward raw?

We need some raw classes in the Woodlands area. I have people from the DFW area come down all the time. Now does that make sense to you? Seems like we need classes in the Dallas area desperately! Maybe they're just hung up on their chicken and cream sauce and can't pull themselves away. Now there's a challenge if I ever heard one!

I don't think I have another Level II scheduled until February, but we can always make something work if you are eager. I just need to fit it in with my husband's schedule. He takes the kids while I "teach." ;) And then he shows back up for the eating part.

Let's talk sometime soon. And yes, we're drowning over here too! My power keeps shutting off - very frustrating while trying to post!

Anna,
Yes, Norie is a personal chef- she works with some of my clients when I place them on a particular diet and they can't seem to follow it- Busy, Kids, Life....she takes care of all of the shopping and preparing! I asked her last year if she was familiar with a raw food diet....and sent her to Alissa's book for more information- she embraced it and then we found your site- And were thrilled that we could get certified locally!!!!!! I have young kids too- almost 6 and 9 (November babies) traveling to Maine would be awesome- but, motherhood does not give you much vacation time :p

I would love to talk with you further~ am very excited about getting certified and would love to help out with some Raw'rs in Dallas. We are currently clearing our Ranch-"ette" (20 acres) in Conroe/Woodlands and will have a Garden house, Garden and a guest cottage on the property- working up the design currently. I will have overnight accomodations and a kitchen in the garden house with, sauna and room for yoga or weight training!- Am so excited how raw has brought this opportunity for me ;-)

I will email you soon! Off to get my son ready for Kindergarten if the streets are'nt flooded! We are in a Tornado path right now from Waller-yikes! I hope you guy's are clearing by now. This has been a scary morning....!

Take Care,

Thanks so much everyone! Honestly, I had no idea what to expect!!!! I just hoped it wouldn't be a complete disaster. :o

I've been so busy finishing the layout for the raw calendars this week that I totally forgot about this thread until this morning.

Thanks for all the love and support you guys. It really means so much to me.

P.S. Ntombi - it is SO great to hear from you. How are your classes together. You know, I still think about that demo you gave on the avocado peeling! What wonderful memories we share...
