hello
i have no food processor. can't really afford one right now. when a recipe calls for a food processor, can i just use my vitamix?

I don't own a Vitamix, but I knife would work and take longer. Sure you can get great results with patience in the chopping/cutting by hand method. Maybe an inexpensive chopper may help. I don't use my food processor often however.

Depends on how wet it is. Food processors are for processing dryer ingredients; blenders are for blending more liquidy stuff. Without enough liquid your VM will bog down.
