I have been 75%+ since last Feb. Actually, I have been over 90% for most of it but just went through a high stress move and am now living in a camping trailer with my 4 hsed dc and my hard working dh, while we build our house. Life is a tad stressful and totally crazy.
I find that I eat apples all the time. Every snack, often in my salads, I grab one on the run or when I get the snackies. Is this a bad thing? They are cheap here in the PNW and I always have some sitting on the counter.
I am a little worried that I am not getting enough of something. I have greens in the fridge but due to the insanity lately (I am also hypothyroid so my brain is fried) I am grabbing what is easy, even when I know I am craving a salad, and that is apples.
Is this ok?
Thanks a bunch.

As you live where apples grow, it's probably good to eat a lot of them. I live fairly close to the South Carolina border, and I eat a lot of peaches.
You may though want to eat some seaweed. It should help your thyroid. My favorite is dulse, but your favorite may be something else. Add a gram or two to a salad.

Thanks Pierre. Oh peaches, such heaven!!! I love my apples but I could easily switch them out for good peaches. Sigh......
I do add spirulina to my smoothies, would that be helpful? I can't remember why I started adding it (thyroid has destroyed my long term memory) but I do know there was something good to it. :)

Spirulina grows in a lake, right? I'm talking about algae that grow in the ocean. Dulse, kelp, wrack, and pinion - no, the pinion fell off the petrel as he flew overhead, you wouldn't want to eat that!

I am craving apples all the time now too!! I haven't been able to eat a lot, but tomorrow I'm heading up to the north georgia mountain, so I can get a lot. Pierre has some good advise, but just wanted to tell you...you aren't alone!!

Just eat it till you get burned out on it, something else will come to you to take it's place! :D

Pierre, don't you eat stuff from lakes, because birds leave their BM at that place, or am I translating wrong..??

Mono eating is probably the most natural way of eating, as in the wild, you'd come across a tree loaded with fruit, you'd stay there and eat your fill for maybe several days, then move on, I believe that mono eating is very healthy,
I ate pineapple for months, now I'm into nectarines or peaches what ever I can find, I also am noticing that I love them really ripe, which never used to be the case.
I eat maybe 2 huge ones, or 4 small ones in a sitting, then can easily go back for more in a couple of hours, although I've been traveling alot lately, so I'm getting alot of mixtures that I've never encountered before. LOL

I'm in the "banana" phase. Can't get enough.
Right when I think I've had my fill of those buggers, I get a whiff of one on my counter and grab it :)
I do apples too. I think it's normal.

A pinion is a feather. Seaweed and feathers are used to control bovines. This is called wrack and pinion steering. ;)
Some people clip feathers of their pet birds to keep them from flying away. Some people don't believe birds should be fettered in this way. It's a matter of a pinion.

If you have been raw, even HIGH raw- you should have a higher intuitive eating pattern developed. So, if your body wants crisp delicous and locally fresh apples......then by all means have them! I really try to pay attention to my own cravings (signals)- but, with the thyroid issue , I would def add some greens to my daily diet and the Dulse....I have also heard it will help with brain fog of hypothyroidism as well as Coconut oil.....Google that connection it is very interesting! I personally eat 2-3 apples a day- no problems!!!! It is actually the only fruit that I can combine with nuts and not get a tummy ache
Have a GREAT day!

Thanks for all the responses. I am feeling much better about it.
Oh, and I do apologize for the lame spelling. I meant over do in my title, not overdue:rolleyes:
