Raw restaurants in Ottawa, Canada

James, I recommend you go to www.simplyraw.ca

That is a website for all things raw in the Ottawa area. They also have potlucks and other events.

Also, always take your ice skates to Ottawa in the winter, to skate on the Rideau Canal. Ottawa usually has great live music also, nice art galleries, etc.

having just returned from ottawa for a short trip i can tell you i did not find any raw restaurants... they have quite a few veg and vegan places, but all cooked, so all you'd get was a salad bar to choose from.

there are a few juice bars which are great, and local health food stores sell a few raw snacks made by some local companies -- biosphere is one, they do some crackers -- other than that, not too raw friendly i'm a feared.

there is a raw community there, they have potlucks regularly, and the woman who does simply raw works at the table apparently, which is a buffet style veg/vegan restaurant (cooked)

i remember a different thread mentioned guelph ontario has a raw restaurant, unfortunately it is nowhere near ottawa :(
