These days, many people are popping vitamins instead of eating healthy foods. It amazes me how people can take nearly a dozen pills a day, thinking that it will keep them healthy. Most of those vitamins are not fully absorbed:

A couple of weeks ago, I was at my register when a man came up with a bunch...no monster load of vitamins. By the time I finished scanning all of them, I had counted... FIFTY BOTTLES:eek::eek::eek: When I asked the customer why so many bottles, he replied "They're for his elderly parents." He spent $149.84 for his order:eek::eek::eek:

SAD can really do a number on the human body. A Raw and Living Foods diet is great for older individuals. I'm sure that a lot of the problems that older people have wouldn't exist or be greatly reduced if they simply ate more raw foods.

Look how great Storm Talifero looks. He is the perfect example of someone who took care of themselves and did something about their health before it was too late.

To me this kinda goes along with the OTC drugs and stuff on commercials instead of listening to their bodies they'll mask the symptoms. Instead of eating fruits and veggies (even steamed) they'll just pop vitamins to seem healthy while they consume their Big Mac or pizzas or wahtever....makes no sense to me! Seems like an excuse to eat whatever the heck they want, but oh! they'll be healthy it they just pop a pill!! Sorry, I'm being sarcastic haha.

so true. That is one of my friends. Drinks like a fish, but feels that taking her vitamins keeps her healthy.

I used to work for a liquid vitamin company. They had liquid mineral supplements and liquid vitamin drinks. They would say that most of the solid vitamins on the market pass right through the body and that is why liquid is better. They also spoke of soal depletion. I have to say being in Customer Service I spoke to many people who were benifitting from the product. I don't take vitamins just because I think our bodies best utilize vitamins in their natural form.

Hate to burst your bubble here but fact is much of the health food industry was experimented with and grown by people who wanted to do their recreational drugs and not have their bodies pay for it!
