Freezing either
1. Bagels
2. Crackers
3. Muffins/breads and such?
Does it work well, or not well for any of these?
Much appreciated!
With love,

Ummm, are you talking regular bagels, crackers, muffins and such or do you have recipes for raw ones? Inquiring minds would like to know.

In our home, we have a strong commitment to conservation on all levels. I'm looking at the possibility of making a bunch of the raw items I mentioned, all at once....and finding out if it will work to freeze them. Does that make more sense? Thanks, Revell!

BG> yes, it does. RP tends to freeze a lot of what she makes.
Now, crackers are dehydrated so they stay fresh a REALLY long time. I don't freeze or even refrigerate them and they do well.
You can make raw bagels and muffins? Have I missed something? I'd sure like some recipes for them!!!
I have frozen lasagne and it's come out well. Put in dehydrator and yummmm!

I shall be dehydrating my brains out then. And then I shall dehydrate my brains!
Revvell - the rye bagels in Alliss'a book are outstanding. I think she has a coupla muffin recipes. Rose Lee Calabro's book - I think it's called Living in the Raw - has a bunch of muffin recipes too. She's particularly strong on desserts.
Oh boy. Unbaking, here I come. Thanks, dear ones!

YEP, you can freeze the ones I've made
I've made Victoria Boutenkos' crackers, etc,and Alissa's and they freeze really well, no troubles at all.
I make the pizza wraps, the corn bread and some muffins from Alissa's book, and they all freeze well.
I also freeze the onion bread.
I used to just use a zip lock baggie, now I use a suck and seal to keep them fresh, you know the food saver thingy.
I like them, it is more expensive, but I just make a long tail and keep cutting and reusing them, I put about 3 o4 4 pizza crusts in one, cut it open take out one, reseal, etc.
Works for me, let us know your favorite muffin etc, so we can try it too.

I don't have experience with freezing anything beyond bananas for ice cream
I feel intuitively I wouldn't want to because it changes the nutrients and structure of the food.. just me
if it works though, I don't see why not.. I've heard people do it with large qualities of nuts to keep them from going rancid
