Hi, I am still wondering, this questions is for the people with a high fruit intake, especially sweet fruits:
(for example 80/10/10 diet-followers, but also if your fruitintale is not that high)

* did you measure your morning PH (acidity of your urine)
and was the value ok?

* the more reaction the better

Hi Light, I remember a while ago you asking me to test my pH... and I keep forgetting to buy the testing kit, I'll do that today for sure and let you know tomorrow.

I've been doing an apple fast for the majority of the past week, and just recently started adding in veg juices, so it might be out of whack.

I hope you're doing well!

I eat a lot of fruit and unless I take a pH balance suppliment the pH of my saliva in the morning is about 6.8. If I take six pills a day I can see a pH of 7.35. I use a pH meter and clear out the saliva three times before I spit it in a small container and test it.

Which Ph meter do you use? I googled it and mostly the ones came up for the pools - are they the same for saliva too?

I eat a lot of fruit and whenever my naturopath doctor checks my ph balance, it's always right where it needs to be.

Ok I checked my urine pH this morning using those little strips and it came up 6.9, in the normal range.

Hi
The cheapest pH meter that is adequate is the Checker by HANNA. I got mine from Pulse Instruments. They have a small electrode that easily fits into a toothpaste tube top. I like that arrangment because it requires less saliva. Be sure to get a bottle of 7.01 buffer solution so you can check the calibration every few days. The meter is currently on sale for $30. It has the easiest calibration procedure of any I've owned. I own a number of meters because I make ormus and it's handy for aquariums also. I can tell you that the electrodes in all of the meters I've owned have failed at least once a year. The replacement for the Hanna Checker electrode is very reasonable compared to all the rest and the battery life is very long compared to most. All pH meters require regular cleaning and most need to stay wet. I still prefer them over pH paper.

Good luck

I am a HIGH fruit and salad eater. I have been on 811 for quite awhile. My pH is always where it needs to be, and if it's not, usually getting some good food into my body will solve the problem. ;)

We must learn to fuel our body properly so that we can funtion maximumly. Without energy (fruit), I am more likely to have such issues. However, please let me clarify that eating fruit, especially raw and on 811, has NEVER made me have such problems.

Thanks, Tom. Is the meter more reliable than paper? Is it not that accurate?

I looked it up online and it looks like you need a lot of liquid to measure-how do you measure saliva(urine is not very accurate.)

This is confusing because I have always heard the opposite. I was under the impression that saliva is changing all of the time and that urine is a much truer predictor.
