I lost it two days before my son completed his pre-deployment leave here and have eaten anything and everything I've wanted to, without regard. You don't even want to know.

Thursday I began having gastric symptoms that have since become quite scary, I'm in pain, and I'm afraid. It's probably exactly what I need.

Food doesn't make up for losses in life, it just gives the illusion of "feeling" better about the losses and pain. Quite effectively, obviously or some of us wouldn't keep returning to it. But it doesn't keep my son safe, and it hasn't kept my feelings from erupting in violent dreams ever since he left for Iraq.

Please send healing vibes for my body as I begin again, and all prayers for my son are warmly accepted. I have three other children who are all struggling in life in one way or another, largely including the obvious caring for their brother, please hold them up as well.

Thanks, all,

Deborah, who really wants to feel well and live well

While everyone is entitled to their beliefs on the Iraq situation, for those souls that represent the US military, I give many prayers for their safety and safe return home.

You and your other children shall have my prayers as well.

Please make a difference -- http://www.anysoldier.com/

Prayers to your family....and..... prayers for YOU to nuture and care for yourself- to gain strength, both physically and spiritually. You will need to be strong to be there for them! I am sorry that you are experiencing the pain of SAD food- I totally know that feeling. Take Care and know that so many are here for you.

HUGS,
