interesting transformation mentally...

Now bear with me as I am not trying to be disgusting or obnoxious, but I have noticed now that I have been working consistently and having lots of success with eating raw that in commercials for hamburgers (particularly the new Ruby Tuesday commercial) that the meat actually looks like poo! I get pretty grossed out when I see meat in general...while it is sick, I sure am thankful for this phase that I am going through. Anyone else experience this type of thing?

I was watching a cooking show the other day and they were... umm... preparing a chicken. I almost got sick right there and turned off the TV.

Amen. I was attempting to watch America's Test Kitchen yesterday....needless to say, when they pulled out a chuck of beef.....it was turned off. This has NEVER been an issue before! I must say I'm rather grateful for it; I've always had reasons in my mind why I shouldn't eat meat, but now I am actually sick when it comes to it.

Hmm, I don't think it's a phase, sorry! After a while off meat I think our brains switch gears and see it for what i really looks like (if that makes sense). First it was just like "whatever" then it moved to "EWW" to "how could someone EAT that!?" to "poor animals" to really feeling for the animals as if they were still alive and were begging me to save them....maybe now *I* sound weird!

I used to get really sick, esp. if I could see tendon or nerve or vessel material in a piece of meat. Now it just doesn't look like food to me. :::shrug::::

I was always a steak guy. That was my favorite meal. I would have steak with a side of steak. LOL....

It has been about 2 months now and I cannot stomach the smell of raw meat.

I feed my dog a 100% raw diet as well as myself. Her meal consists of raw meat and bone. So I buy in bulk like, roasts, pork leg, chicken, etc. When I get home I have to cut it into portions. I have to wear rubber gloves and put a fan behind me so the smell blows the opposite way. I am very serious about this.

In 2 months I went from love to hate with meat. Now it just disgusts me in the raw state. I still crave chicken wings and hot sauce every now and then though (usually when I have a beer :( ).
