hello everyone! okay so im stuck with my traditional family on (canadian) thanksgiving weekend and i would like to make a couple dishes to contribute (mostly so that i wont sit at the table with no food and let them continue their 'eating disorder' gossip)
if anyone has any tried and true thanksgiving dishes they could contribute to the cause i would be very very grateful :)

I used to make this recipe with sugar until I joined the 30 day raw challenge. Now I will try it with raw honey or agave nectar. You and your family will love this:
Cranberry Orange Relish
a package of Cranberries (found in your fresh produce department or fruit store), chopped up in your food processor, a seedless orange sliced up, and raw honey or agave nectar mixed all together. Refrigerate several hours.

Here is an "oldie but goodie" thread that was posted back in the day with some recipes and ideas.
http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294&highlight=thanksgiving
And here is another one that is mainly pictures but I thought it might inspire you: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8229&highlight=Thanksgiving
There are many more holiday threads here, but I'm sure since we have many new people that you will get some newer ideas as well.

No dice kid, for two main reasons:
1. I like being asked nicely to do things and...
2. That's my sweet potato pie that is in the works for my upcoming raw soulfood cookbook, so the recipe cannot be disclosed for now.
Thanks for saying it looks good, though.
But there are some raw pumpkin pie recipes in the thread I provided and on other raw sites, there are other raw sweet potato pie recipes as well.

Nah...there are others out there who have been making and selling raw soulfood in their local areas long before I came on the raw scene...so I can't claim that title.

Well, my family is very non tradtitional and loves raw veggies so anything I make with those usually goes over well. This year I will probably make some partially dehydrated nacho cheese to stuff some veggies with and I'll probably make onion bread and perhaps some sort of dessert.

My non raw sister loved the cranberry sause so much she had it just about once or twice a week till she could not find any cranberries in stores, past the season. So you will have a winner here.
