Hi,

I am considering doing the master cleanse, however I am very thin. 5'4 and 100 pounds.

But I would like to know what benefits you guys experienced for those who have done it. Thanks for any information. :)

Last year I did a 25 day Master Cleanse....

The biggest thing to keep in mind is you will probably lose some weight. I lost 25 lbs, but atleast 12-15 was acumulated waste in my system. (I weighted 250).

It was a great experience for me. It eliminated alot of the things that needed fixing. The slimmie tngue was a bit disgusting.. You'll understand when you do it...

It feels exactly the same as eating raw food. Essentially that is what you are doing. Lemon juice, maple syrup. It's all live food. It was easier for me to fast than to eat right. At the time I was still SAD.

The biggest thing for me was It lead me to a RAW lifestyle. It took me a year to go raw, but I did.

If you have specific questions I will be happy to answer all I can.

I did the master cleanse twice this year also. The longest one was about 40 days I think. In hindsight, I wouldn't do it unless I could totally devote myself to it. I didn't have any of the detox symptoms that I've read about on here. I was EXTREMELY tired. I worked all the time and was constantly on the go. One other thing I must mention about the cleanse is that since it is a cleanse it will slow your digetstive system down. And since this is the case, I wouldn't do it for a long length of time as I don't need to completely shut down my digestion since I don't go enough as it is. I started it as a way to "cleanse" internally and emotionally. I started contemplating raw and researching it in January and this cleanse was something I did to see where I really stood. I would say that the cleanse for me, was different from eating raw foods. Although I was physically tired, I had a very sharp mental focus and really felt accomplished about my strengths and abilities to do anything afterwards. As Ken said, you will lose weight on the MC. I started out January at 242. I started 100% raw in August at 213. So, I had already lost some weight just from cleansing. I had actually went down to 200 I think (trying to think back) but I know I gained something back when I was in California visiting my best friend during the whole month of May. You may need to be observant of your weight and if it comes off quickly you may not want to shoot for a straight month.
