Well, it happened. I got the precious book back again last night about 9:15. Didn't get home untill near 10:00. Spent nearly an hour looking online for a recipe and pic for Zena. Spent time with hubby and tried to go to bed.
Then it hit me ... hubby had promised the book and DVDs to a woman that works at the local children's health center and would probably take it to her today. Sooooooooo up I got and poured through the recipe section refreshing myself on what was there. Then went through them all a second time letting them inspire me and writing down these inspirations. At 6am I got to bed.
So I now have 2 pages of chicken scratch and the book and DVDs left my company about 11:20am. Below are a couple of my graveyard shift Alissa inspired rambalings.
Sausage Patties
RFT onion bread recipe with only 2 large sweet onions - we call this flaxburger mix
chopped baby bellas - 4-8oz, whatever looks good
marjoram, sage, basil, garlic, and cayenne to taste
Mix with hands. Shape into patties. Dehydrate to desired consistancy. Freeze leftovers on cookie sheet then seal in plastic in freezer.
Broccoli Salad
Chop:
1 bunch broccoli
1 bunch celery
1 sweet onion
Blend and add:
juice from 1/2 lemon
2 T olive oil
1 medjool date or 1 T raisins, soaked
2 T RP's marinated mushroom sauce
Stir in:
1/2 carrot, grated in a hard cheese grater
What do you think?
