Greetings all!, http://www.rawfood.com/forum/smile.gif

My name is Indiana a lady from New Zealand, currently living in San Clemente, Southern California.

I am living in a gorgeous big house on the hill which has wonderful ocean views and plenty of fresh air!!

I would like to meet others in the local area who would like to come down to my house and get together on occasions (or as much as possible) to make raw foods and to try out different things and receipes.

I own a great blender, an automatic sprouter, a wheatgrass juicer = (twin health), a excaliber dehydrator and I have plenty of kitchen space and all the ingredients that we would need to create beautiful, yummy foods!!!

If anyone would be available for get-togethers during the day from Wednesday through to Sunday, please reply back to me and lets get started making yummy foods!!

Blessings,

Indiana :)

msindiana, welcome. Unfortunately I am in Florida. However, you make a move to CA even more tempting with your open hearted invitation than all the others prior to you. Had I the supplies you would be a great example to follow. Now you've given me something to work toward.

Glad you are here at RFT.

Greetings doe,

Thankyou for your sweet comments, they are appreciated.

Yes, I want to be inspired and motivated by others to get back into raw foods again.

I would ideally like a few of us to get together during the day to make up wonderful raw foods and to just hang out and discuss raw foods or other inspiring things and idea's etc.

I think it will be fun for all of us.

If you ever come out this way, you would be warmly welcomed!

Blessings,

Indiana. :)

Hi MsIndiana,

Thank you for the invite. I may just have to take you up on that some weekend when Bo is working. That's a very generous offer.

Yes you are most welcome as well as anyone else who may be interested. The more the merrier!

And as I said, I have all the equipment that I need and I will be popping up to Mothers for some of their yummy organic produce etc.....they seem to be the best in Orange County.

Feel free to email me when you are ready.

I am excited to meet others and to get back into eating "really" healthy again!! :)

Blessings,

Indiana.

Hey there JuJitsu Girl!!

O.k, I have had my wheatgrass juice for the morning so I am good to go!!!...lol...

Do you do JuJitsu by any chance then????

I am a semi-competitive wrestler and I started taking private JuJitsu lessons to help my game and it is brilliant!!

Now in regards to you living in Santa Monica........come on down girl!!!

If it is a hassle for you to travel here and back again, you would be most weclome to stay the night if you felt comfortable doing so.

I just want to meet more cool people and learn different things from them especially in regards to raw foods etc.

Yes you are correct, Trestles does have the best surf and the beaches here are pretty nice.

Anyway, keep in touch and you can always email me privately if you wish.

Blessings,

Indiana.:)

MsIndiana, if the invitation is still open, or if you've got any plans for a weekend coming up soon, I'd love to come and pitch in in the kitchen!

Have you been to Au Lac in Fountain Valley? Chef Ito creates the most amazing and unusual flavor combinations, and he is a generous and kind-hearted person. A true artist in raw food!

Msindiana,

I just now read this thread. There are a number of other raw foodists I know who live in San Clemente ... also a few students who took the LOLF class with me. Also, quite a few raw friends in the Laguna and Laguna Hills area -- again, quite close to you. If you'd like to contact me personally, I can let you know about potlucks and other local happenings. A bunch of us hang out at Au Lac regularly, also, including one of the San Clemente people. Also, a couple of us are going to be hitting the Carlsbad location of Cilantro Live! soon ... perhaps you'd like to join us.

Jiujitsu Girl - there's a new couple in Oceanside you are making delicious raw food meals. They've just moved here from New Orleans and came to raw through David Jubb (NYC). They had a wonderful Mediteranean plate at the Raw Food Festival in Huntington Beach last Saturday.

I just spent yesterday at a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition. My friend is a teacher and his students -- and he -- competed. He's all raw and amazing strong -- not thin like all we raw foodists supposedly are! -- so it was great to see how he did against a world champ 20 years younger than him. He attributes it all to his raw diet.

Okay -- enough rambling from me. Hope to hear from Msindiana of the red font!

I am 6 months new at raw foods and have two children ages 3 and 6 who are vegan but not fully raw, my husband surfs and has done for quite a while. Sometime I may take you up on your offer since I enjoy what I create. I do agree with you about Mother's Market since we frequent the one in Costa Mesa. The support would be great since I do not know anyone else in my area who is raw.

God Bless

God BlessOh, trustnraw, there is a thriving raw community in your area (which is my general area, too). Also, you might want to check out Howard Kirk in San Clemente. He's raw, a surfer, and makes great great dishes for our potlucks. He's very active in the surf community, having been commissioned to do the art for the Surfing Walk of Fame in Huntington Beach. He also eats at Au Lac frequently.

Your husband might be interested ... is he raw also?

Greetings to you sara and thankyou for replying back to my post.

Yes, my offer is certainly still open.

A few people contacted me back telling me that they were interested then I never heard back from them, so I left it at that.

I would love a bunch of people to come down, enjoy whipping up some yummy raw food treats and make themselves comfortable in a nice place to chill out etc.

The only raw food restaurant I have been lucky enough to go to so far is the "Mothers" health food restaurant. They have brilliant raw food salads there and they are huge!!!

Feel free to email me privately or post on here when you might be interested and any weekend would be fine with me.

I certainly look forward to it.

Blessings,

Ms Indiana.:)

Greetings to you RawTruth,

As I already said to sarah, whoever would like to join me and/or others at my house for whipping up raw food yummy treats etc is most welcome!!

I would certainly love to experiment with new receipes and I would certainly love to learn a lot more about raw foods and nutrition etc.

I would also love to meet more people into raw foods and then we can inspire and motivate each other into eating healthily and making up different things.

Since I am from New Zealand and I believe (correct me if I am wrong...:D ).........I cannot drive very successfully on the right hand side of the road here, I dont drive or get around too much........this is the reason I am opening my house up to others who would like to come down and/or organizing potlucks here as well.

I would certainly love to join anyone going to any of the raw food restaurants in the area, if it would not be too much trouble picking me up on the way.........I would be most happy to pay for the gas there and back again.....*smiles*

Wow!!!..........You just spent time at a Brazillian JuJitsu competititon!!!.......I started training recently in JuJitsu as this is very beneficial for semi-competitive wrestling which is what I do.........We definitely have to talk, as my enquiring mind wants to know more!!!.........:)

So now you have heard from thee ms indiana with the red font.......actually it makes it easier for me to read when I look back on my previous posts.......:D

Blessings to you and I look forward to hearing more either here or privately.

Regards,

Indiana.

Good on you for doing so well on rawfoods!!!

Also, you are most welcome to come down and of course bring the kids if you would like to as well.

I know it can be quite hard to stick to raw foods and/or know what to whip up or make........and of course speaking about myself here too!!........:D

This is the whole reason why I do want a few of us to get together so we can learn different ways of making things and just experiment and learn different receipes etc.

So feel free to contact me whenever you have a chance to head down this way and bring your kids with you as I love children, they are so much fun and there is plenty of space for them to play and have fun in as well.

Blessings,

Indiana. :)

raw truth thats awesome who is your instructor, you say he is raw?? you'd think more brazilians would embrace raw since the countrys climate is perfect and the fruit is abundant, id love to compete one day all raw to prove you can be strong and even more flexible on a raw diet!

Hey there JuJitsu girl!!,

How long have I been doing raw .......I have been trying for years and years HOWEVER!, I have only managed to stick completely raw for one week!!!......*sigh*

Good on you for sticking with it for 30 days!!!

Now I have one huge raw salad a day. I may or may not return completely to raw, however I do eat very healthy for now.

If I return back to Aussie, I may go raw again as it is easy to do that there.

Blessings,

Indiana. :)
