Hi luvmyfruit, well I just did this the other day tis the season. I used a little Nama Shoyu to make seeds damp so spices would stick and then added some homemade taco spice little sea salt and then dehydrated until the outer white shell was dry and crispy, I think just over night but please don't quote me on teat. Anyway boy they were good, I hope this helps.

Should you not soak them in water first.

Sport good question, I didn't I just rinsed them straight out of the pumpkin patted them dry and then did the other steps but I suppose you could experiment with that. Let me know if you do soak would be intereseted to see how they turn out.
Take Care

I am assuming that there are digestive inhibitors in them that you need to soak out.
I always soak store bought pumpkin seeds and then dehydrate and store.

I just saw this thread come up again today thanks rawkinlocs. Anyway sport you mentioned about soaking the seeds I am still unsure about that I never have when it comes straight out of a fruit or pumpkin.Case in point I have opened up organic apples, oranges and even a papaya and they have actually had sprouted seeds inside them. I had never seen this before in my life until this summer, so maybe something to think about. I always eat the whole fruit of the apple seeds and all. Just thought you may find this interesting and if anyone else has come acrosss this or has any thoughts let me know.

:) HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!! :)
