Hi, LLL,
This link leads to a caramel sauce...It would be good to dip apple slices in, but I'm not sure about caramel apples. :)

rawbeliever thanks for the link , that is one we can try at home for sure as it looks yummy.. But the daycare has a NO NUT policy , and that caramel sauce has coconut butter and almonds in it ... makes things difficult

The picture looks AWESOME!
Here is RawPriestess' recipe (which Truthseeker dehydrated into rounds in the above-mentioned thread):
1 cup dates (pitted and unsoaked)
1/4 cup almond milk
1 dash sea salt
1 tsp vanilla extract, or 1 inch vanilla bean scraped
1 T raw honey
Mix all ingreients in a food processor until smooth and well blended.
I'm sure you can sub the almond milk with water (I've done this...the nut milk just makes it creamier) and agave for the raw honey if you don't like using honey.

I made this the other day to top a cheesecake and it was so easy and soooooo good! I did have to add quite a bit more almond milk, but it was really delicious! Thanks RP for all the nice stuff you do for us (sharing, entertaining, etc.) It's much appreciated!

YUM-O! I've picked several varieties of apples and LOVELOVELOVE cutting up a couple and dipping the slices into RP's carmel sauce...now to try the other recipe too. Your kids will love it too. No child really finishes a SAD carmel apple, they're really too big, not to mention sad sad sad. :D
