Man coffee cake is so good. I want the substitute for it.
And noodles, omg, I used to eat ramen noodles without boiling it, that's like eating a non-raw thing raw. Someone give me a substitute for dry-noodles.

Goldsplinter, you remind me of my younger brother. When my little brother was eight he used to tell me that his "favorite career" was to bother me  , he got a lot of joy out of it.
You know you will find nothing like "real" coffee cake, and you are so right! uncooked noodles are the perfect raw food :o

:) As for noodles i will use yellow squash and use a vegetable peeler and go down the long length of the squash peeling it in long thin strips and then place in a container with some olive oil around 1 hr. shaking to coat then dehydrate for an hour take out a put some home made sauce on it with sliced avocado, tomatoes, peppers.
It is so good almost like the kind you would purchase in the store.
Hope this helps you. :D :D

Okay, I know that Goldsplinter had rubbed some of us the wrong way and I did briefly mentioned some of these things to him, but he has to decide to change on his own...we can't "harass" him into it.
So, I'm going to have to ask that from now on, if his posts are getting to you, please don't reply to them...just move on to the next post or just don't bother opening and reading them at all if need be.
I know how some of you feel, but I also don't think taking digs and things is the way to handle it either. There are members willing to help Goldsplinter and that's fine...allow them to help him if they choose to. But let's stop overtaking his threads, please?
Thank you for your cooperation!

:) I feel that if i can help i will, i've had people in the past take things i've said and done the wrong way and it really hurt.
It doesn't take anything away from us to be nice sometimes that's all it takes to help a person change his ways. It's like when you see a person is angry and moody sometimes being around a happy person will help them overcome their moodiness and you may see a smile break out sooner or later kind of like this :)
Happy thoughts.

Yep, you're right Ann! Sometimes you just gotta "kill 'em with kindness"! :) Now back to coffee cake and noodles (well, substitutions for them)... please!

Well as for the uncooked ramen noodles, I can't help ya -- but yesterday I did eat a Cinnamon Roll LaraBar which I though tasted pretty darn good :D
It reminded me alot of warm, gooey baking .... which brings me to the next idea.. for Coffee Cake .. So what about Rawkinlocs' Cinnamon Rolls recipe?
(I think it's Rawkinloc's Cinnamon Rolls... I'll check  )
You will be able to find it if you do a search with that banana at the top of the screen... I haven't made them yet but they get rave reviews.. you could probably add different spices to further resemble the coffee cake taste.
Check out this thread: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18503&highlight=cinnamon+rolls
Anyhow - good luck with ramen noodles (when we were kids we ate those all the time uncooked, until someone told me worms would grow in my stomach from the 'raw' noodles and I never ate them again :p )

Uhh..sorry Goldsplinter but you can't do that...not here. There are MANY people struggling each day with cravings and trying to stay raw and several HUGE pictures of SAD coffee cake on a raw forum is not a good thing for them to have to see here of all places.
If they want to know what coffee cake is, they can do a Google.
Thanks for understanding, but that post had to go!
