I have complained about my horrible acne detox in previous posts, but I was wondering if living in New York City surrounded by all the pollution was going to make my detox more unbearable? .... Will it ever be ... over? I know detoxes are never over for the very REASON of uncontrollables like air pollution, BUT NYC has the pollution factor to the extreme. I have lived here for a little over a month for college so I have no special insight. My skin may have changed... but its hard to tell whats happening when it just goes from horrible to despicable to being bad to being hideous to being ugly... :) hahaha. oh jeez. Was wondering what insight on heavy pollution was!!!!
Thanks!!

-I hear you.
-All you can do is all you can do. You can bring presence and health to the area you are in......or you can go someplace else. If you decide to stay: eat healthy, exercise, and keep plenty of air-cleaning plants in the hiz-ouse. :) Practice deep breathing and exercise to improve your oxygen uptake.
-Just a few suggestions.

Well yeah - when you are in a place like NYC you have to work at keeping clean more on the outside. But - when I would go out to the country for a few days then I would have a serious facial detox - but I wouldn't notice it as I didn't have the greasy city dirt on me!

I know one thing people do when they have acne. They keep picking at their face. Your fingers are not for picking your face. If you do, STOP. Make sure you WASH your face throughly and rinse. Enjoy your travel and drink LOTS of Water. Don't forget to Study(*_*).

I DO pick my face. I do. It may aggrivate, but I can't imagine that it is the sole cause, afterall, it was clear before raw. However, I am going to do my very best to keep my hands away!!!!! This will actually be quite a challenge for me! Thanks for everyones' responses!

Thank you! When there was a thread about this before I read up on it, and got some wholesale. I took some for a little while and stopped, as I didn't notice a difference, however, it can't hurt to just continue! I have a few bottles and they were expensive!
I know that this is a food forum but...
It is said that: we are what we eat
But I do not agree
There are three sources of pollutants:
1) what we ingest
2) what we inhale
3) what we absorb through our skin
((((4) what is injected into us))))
Therefore: we are what we absorb!!!
Use personal care products that do not contain harmful ingredients
What we inhale is very difficult to regulate
And of course make sure you eat organic - best defense against harmful ingested susbtances.
