Hi all,

I'm putting out a urgent request for some info from David Wolfe's new book The Sunfood Diet Success System. In this book he gives a 7 day meal plan for people to follow and the calories per day. If someone has the info (meal plans AND calorie count per day), could you please e-mail it to me at L.Adam@shaw.ca??

Right now it may not seem like an urgent issue but I see it as life vs. death, hospital vs. non-hospital. You see, the doctor has said that if I lose one more pound that I will be certified into the the hospital for "re-feeding". "Certified" means that there will be a court order in place saying that I have to stay in hospital for as long as it takes for me to gain weight to an acceptable level on the hospital food. I know that they will do this because they have done it before and let me say that it is hell on earth.

I'm desperate to not only stop my weight loss but also start gaining again so that I can get healthier and stay out of hospital. Due to my ED (eating disorder), I know that unless I follow a meal plan, I won't eat enough and then it will be inevitable that I end up in hospital.

The doctor said that if I could get those meal plans, that they have to be at least 3000 calories per day. I know that David has this in his new book. The doctor wants me to show him the meal plans so that he knows what I'm eating. He said that he doesn't care if I choose to eat all raw food if I'm out of the hospital but if he has to admit me then I'm stuck with hospital food. I also like David's approach because I know that it tends to be a bit more of a balanced raw food approach - much like Alissa's.

If someone could please send me those 7 day menus along with the calorie level per day that would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Try www.thegardendiet.com.

They have a fabulous 7 day meal plan, no strange superfoods, no complicated recipes or dehydrating involved for only $10. And I've seen it, it's not low-fat, there are at least if not more than 3000 daily calories in there. If this is a truly urgent situation, you can get it within minutes!

I do not know what is in DW's plan, but I have a feeling some of the stuff you would have to buy on their site for a lot of money. Try The Garden Diet's plan, you can get all the ingredients at any grocery or health food store.

Lisa,

I'm sorry I can't provide you with the structured meal plan info, as I do not own that book.

I would like to add, however, that adding a generous amount of dehydrated foods, nuts, and seeds always causes my weight to fluctuate up about three to five pounds.

I hope that you find physical healing with raw, and that you find emotional peace and liberation from your ED so that you may never again find yourself in such a life and death situation. I know it's a long, hard road, and wish you many happy, healing thoughts.

Spicyfull, did you send the meal plans?

and just fyi, in the sunfood book the meal plans require very few ingredients that he is selling. David really isn't much of a chef, so his plans are BASIC, but have a nice variety of produce that makes one feel nourished with an abundance of options on the raw diet. Also the recipes that are included are very well balanced which is nice. Most raw books don't balance their recipes.

I guess I'm a bit biased, I admit not having read the book. But I tend to trust Storm and Jinjee more based on their background and experience, and they don't push supplementation. I've done their 7 day plan, and the recipes are very good and easy, and of course balanced.

I can't really help you with the book.. I just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you and I hope you will find yourself healing while gaining weight on raw! Good thing that your doctor is open to raw though!

Thanks for your support guys. I was e-mailed a few days of the meal plan from David's old book. I wouldn't mind looking at the garden diet ones as well so I think I'll get it.

Thanks again,

Lisa
