here in central michigan the few organic stores carry mostly locally grown, in-season produce (which is great!)
but...that means that as fall rolls around, the berries and mangos and kiwis slowly..disappear...
any recipe suggestions for green smoothies without the addition of the typical summer-month fruits?
they still have bananas...and the occasional orange/grapefruit..
:)
Can you get apples? They are great in green smoothies if your blender can handle them. If you have some extra fridgie space for a volume they will keep for months too. Hope you find a good solution!!

I personally love green juice. I only blend romaine, alfalfa, parsley (or your favorite green) and add orange juice, blend well again. VoilĂ*.
It's so simple but taste sooo damn good, absolutely adictive ;)
I hope you find more receipes

I have read this, it's so good maybe if you have frozen berries?:
- watercress
- banana
- blueberries or other dark berries
