I have some of this sitting in my freezer...I tasted a small spoonful and it's VERY yummy, tastes pretty much exactly like normal ice-cream (mint chocolate chip).

It doesn't saw "raw" anywhere...so is this definitely NO to someone who is 100% raw? I'm pretty sure I'm right, but being so new still - just wanted to double check. My kids wanted to eat it ALL so it's not like it's going to go to waste if it's not for me. :D
Here is your answer:
17: Is Coconut Bliss raw?
In order to get the coconut milk here in good condition from Thailand, where the coconuts are grown and made into milk, it is pasteurized to around 160 degrees. The agave syrup is raw. Most of the nuts we use are roasted, as are the cacao beans from which the cocoa and chocolate are made. When we make fruit flavors, the fruits are raw, as are the fresh juices that we use to flavor the Ginger Crystal Créme, Coconut Sunrise, Lemon Island Créme, and Lakshmi's Luscious Lime. While Coconut Bliss definitely does not qualify as a raw food, we have heard from many raw food enthusiasts that they still enjoy Coconut Bliss from time to time with only minor pangs of guilt.

It is definitely much healthier, as a "SAD"-snack, than normal ice, and it looks amazing.
Wish we had this in Europe.

Coconut milk is stable at higher temperatures so heating it to 170 degrees may not destory all enzymatic activity. If you choose one of the flavors made with other raw ingredients, perhaps it's not so bad. If you want to be absolutely certain, you'd have to avoid it but it looks like a great product for those who are are ok with it.

Is it much more expensive than "hagen dasz" or Ben and Jerry's?
Hagen Dasz is really expensive in Europe (SAD-ice cream)

The ice cream price itself isn't so bad...but the shipping!! Oh gosh, the shipping will tear you apart!!
That's because it has to be kept frozen.

I have made ice creams using the canned coconut milk, with the same kind of ingredients. I thought I was the only one who did this!
They come out incredibly smooth and creamy and very rich. You could probably make the coconut milk raw by grating the mature meat and then blending it with the coconut water. Would be more time consuming this way, or maybe just use young coconut meat and water.
Just mix up those ingredients in your blender, freeze and then process the hardened ice cream and re-freeze.
My husband stops by One Lucky Duck on his way home from Long Island when he can, the pints are $13.00 each! I live about an hour and 10 minutes away depending on traffic, it is soft but not mush when he gets it home. I just throw it back in the freezer and it is fine. He won't have time in the next 2 weeks so I am rationing the remainder of my last pint! It helps keep me 100% raw so to me personally is worth every penny.
They make their coconut ice cream with just coconut meat and agave but they run it through some special ice cream maker that gives it the amazing texture.

Ice cream makers make a huge difference. You can buy one though for $50-250. You don't need a large industrial one for home use. It will cost you less to buy an ice cream maker then to pay for that kind of crazy shipping costs.
On the recipe forum someone posted their Vanilla Ice Cream recipe, which is their base recipe they add other flavors to. I have their book, and it's the same recipe. They use coconut meat and cashews for the base. I suppose you can just use coconut though for the whole thing. http://rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20335

** Mbf, or anyone - Have you any idea how much websites there are in the U.S. selling
their own made raw products ( and how many do you know)?
** Not that I would like a list, it's just to give the rest of the world an idea
of the rawfood world in the u.s. We have no idea, or we could totally misguess, so with your info it is less abstract and begins to live even more :p
