Well, here I am back on 100% raw. I ate a baked potato with butter and sour cream two days ago, UGH!!, WOW, how terrible I felt, I am sooooo happy that I got so sick, it helps me stay raw, LOL

I know this may sound funny, but it is true, when I eat cooked, no matter how much or how little, I get sick, and that is a wonderful negative motivator, works for me. LOL

and Now, I am back on the raw track and loving it.

Life is a process and I'm so happy that I can share it with all of you.

I was feeling pretty cocky about eating raw for 6 months, and not cheating, and here I am in the middle of my emotional stuff, and what did I do, I went for the cooked comfort food, it tasted wonderful, I loved it, and almost immediatley I KNEW in the pit of my bloated stomache, ARGH!!!, that I had done it, I'd eaten the cooked food, that weighed me down, and made me feel nauseaous so quickly, I am joyful that this happened, because I have anothe wonderful reminder of why I chose to eat raw food every day, and to not eat cooked food.

Besides, It didn' help me get over my "stuff" it only magnified it, and brought more of it up in my face.

So, here I am dealing with my emotional turmoil, and actually I'm feeling pretty good.

I'm releasing on a more complete level, and moving on with my life, and enjoying the process.

So, back to raw,

RAW RAW RAW

It's the ONLY way I can eat.

Congrats to you on your journey!

I am so jealous!

I didn't get sick when I had something cooked. It is one of those things that happens to me gradual, cooked food over time.

I have only had one really really bad thing, and it gave me a not so happy headache and I am very very thankful for that headache.

Yesterday was the first day I was less then 90% and let me tell you, that was not the way I wish to conduct myself. Hospitals, aghhhh!

Today, is a better day! Raw is sooooo good!!!!!!!

Cheering you on RP!

Congrats for being on track again Raw Priestess!

I wish I could say all I did was eat a baked potato. But at least I'm back plugging away again. I made it to Day 14 on my Juice Fast.... gonna try for at least two more weeks.

RP I am excited for you because everytime you go back to raw it's just a little bit longer than the last time, and every time you eat cooked it's less and less. I am seeing this with you.

Well, if its any consolation to you, coffee with soy milk is my down fall, every day. Everything I eat or drink is raw except for the coffee.

This has gone on now for months and I just know if I can take the next step, I will be all raw and feel so much better for it.

I need a permanent break from my coffee break.

i was going through my cycle this past week and was craving a frosty from wendy's, which i used to eat about once a month or so in the past. the moment i finished it, i was sick, and had to stay home the next day as i was sick about every half hour. i couldn't understand how i could still be getting sick with no additional food in my belly. i wasn't sure if it was the frosty or a stomach bug, but now i'm pretty convinced that the dairy just totally screwed me up. think i learned my lesson. anyone have advice for those days you're totally craving chocolate ice cream? i think i would've been saved if i'd had something on had that was sweet, cold and creamy, but the banana ice cream i'd made just got kind of slimy when it left the blender and wasn't appetizing at all.

Good for you RP! I love how strong you are to go right back.

Over the past week-end I ate some cooked meals with my boyfriend's family thinking that it would make them happy and I wouldn't need to explain my choices again. But I'm paying for it now! I have a huge rash of red pimples all over my back side.

I agree that the negative reaction our bodies have are a good indication that we should stick to our raw natural foods. :)

Well done for going back to raw!!

I guess it is all about "the journey". You learned a big lesson by eating that potato, and the potato helped you in a way...

Why does cooked food taste so good.... then feels so bad...ick..processed food doesnt even taste good to me anymore. i guess im really lucky for that.

i DO like baba ganoush though..and that isnt raw (but also isnt overly processed and filled with additives and whatnot)

RP - thanks so much for sharing. It helps bring us all to remembrance that this is indeed, a journey.

My first time raw was 11 days, the next time was 21 days and the last time was 63 days. It can only keep on getting better!

Glad to hear that you stepped right back up to the plate RP, thanks for being a shining example to many. :)

Thank you for posting this RP, I struggle so much with eating junk foods at night and have been noticing that they give a heaviness to me in my stomach. I think eating raw is a journey and each day is a new one with choices to be made. But I take inspiration in your honesty and it gives hope that one day I too will be totally raw. I'm getting there lol.

I have been eating lots of cooked foods lately-I'm trying to gain weight. They can make me feel not so good too. Last night I had the same old out of it feeling that I used to feel all the time when I ate cooked. My mind just felt clogged. On raw food it is crystal clear. It's amazing the difference.

Hmmmm

Gatitude for a bad reaction to SAD.

I like that!!!

By the way RP your brownies saved me a few weeks ago during a PMS time when I would have in the past consumed 4 jumbo sized chocolate bars.

Thank you for sharing this.

I also "oopsed" and my body is hollering at me for it. It's interesting how getting sick is a motivator LOL

Rawk on !
