asian greens (water spinach)

I brought a green from the asian market mistaken it for broccoli rabe. It has a arrow shape leaf, hollow stem, vine like. I identified it from internet encyclopedia pictures.. as water spinach. Can this be eaten raw????? the encyclopedia said it might carry a water born parasite???? I did but it in a green smoothie this morning before I looked it up; which is what I was going to do with the broccoli rabe anyway. Thanks in advance.

Yes! I know what you are talking about. We use that for a differnet type of kimchee. I've never encountered my mother getting sick eating it. :confused:
