Hi all,

I have been thinking about buying a Krups, but I didn't want to spend the money now. This weekend I went to the Salvation Army store to find a rolling pin (to make dog kibble with). I found a Krups coffee grinder, perfect shape, for $2.99! What a bah-gan! I have used it today to make Alissa's rawvioli and it was great! Before I was using the Vitamix and the nuts weren't grinding that well with only a small amount. This way with a small amount it is a breeze!

Don't you just love a bargain! I'm such a bargain hunter!! I love shopping at thrift shops and consignment shops - always looking for things for the grandkids!! I think my biggest bargain was a brand new Waterwise Distiller (in the box. Retails for $399.00) for only $12.00!! Made my day!! Have fun with your new toy!!:D

That is an excellent buy! It is amazing that many people sell items such as that but don't take the time to do a little research. Good find.

I'm definitely a bargain hunter (that's my post as wendy). I have used the grinder repeatedly, and it's still going strong.

That's great to hear! It sounds like it was well worth the $2.99 that you gave for it.

I'm a bargain hunter too and they come to. Other day, BRAND NEW OMEGA in box, juicer, $5.00, retail $199. Hard to sell for this cheap a find as I have Green Power. I know I would make $ however.

Other day saw new coffee grinder, in box, $4.99.

OT: (off topic sort of). I love visiting thrift store. Well, the clerks put out the carts several times in the AM. There is an obxious elderly plastered make up face clown lady who thinks she has first choice and then the crumbs go to me or whoever. She has a store and sells, but says she doesn't have a store or sells. Liar as my friend knows the shop. She just lets it sit in shop and when sold, the manager of all these small booths pays her maybe monthly or however these booths operate. Great way without being slave to an indoor mall or flea market--same word here if indoors.

As a customer she is very intimating and it takes a lot for me to say that as not my normal. Next time I am back at the store I am going to complain to manager to talk with her and put her in her place that she doesn't have first rights of refusal to keep what she wants and all others have crumbs that she leaves behind. She never, never smiles, looks or does eye contact but she does her grabbing for sure. Not the type of person you can talk to either. I just want her to be reminded her money is good like mine and thrift store only cares about receiving money from any customer. However, they want customers to return and not put up with her. She would loose however not shopping here. Yes, there are other stores like this, but still this has to be a goodie to her. I wish I could sell on ebay, but so far no luck. If anyone here does, I would love to chat with you privately. Sadly not the right place to talk ebay, but if others want to email me we can have a loop going.

As my husband about all the shoes I bought and more. Got 2 bags of clothing to donate to the store.

What an amazing find! A brand new juicer for $5.00? Unheard of! Was this coffee grinder you saw for $4.99 a Krups? If so you should go back and buy it, that would be a superb bargain.

What are you selling on ebay? I might like to see if you have any bargains. Ever found any good deals there?

Is there something the coffee grinder does any better than a mortar and pestle?

Of course everyone should have a mortar and pestle.. What if the power goes out right? But the coffee grinder is one of those nice little conveniences that life with electricity provides.

ANd even though the Vitamix can grind too, you need more seeds/nuts in it to make it grind as well. The coffee grinder is very fast and you can do less seeds at a time effectively.
