View Full Version : Soy protein powder: is it raw (or healthy, for that matter?)

Hey,
I'm a new raw fooder (and I JUST joined these forums!), and I was wondering:
is the soy protein found at trader joe's acceptable?
I never know (with powders) how they might have been processed or brought to that point.
I need a raw protein powder to add to my diet, and I'm highly considering raw Hemp protein....

Hi there,

No, it's not raw and no, it's not healthy. :-)

You get all the protein you need from fruits and veggies. Don't worry!!

All the best,

Well yes, I know: but being a minor with semi-controlling parents, they insist that I use a supplemental powder. (Just in case. -_-)

It's called not causing "waves", I just keep the peace untill it's not an issue anymore :)

Find yourself some Hemp seed/powder. From my understanding, there is raw. Also, there's LOTS of information here on "the protein issue". You might see if they'll read it ~ and maybe ease their concern.
