I don't understand the peppermint tea thing either!

I better start flossing!

Are they referring to the CHERRIES? People will see that and think "i can have all the cherry pie from the diner I want!"

Dairy reducing colon cancer? Makes no sense to me.

Reducing the SAD diet 20% would make their calorie consumption what it SHOULD be.

People read "protein" and they'll immediately think animal products. That'll just raise it :(

Coffee? 1) i think they mean the BEAN, 2) any antioxidents that are in the bean are then cooked out, and 3) people may use that as an excuse to stop at Starbucks or wherever else to get a 400-500 calorie drink of sugar!

I've never heard of lemon balm tea.

I notice you didn't comment on the sex drive one ;)

As for the dark chocolate, same thing...people will grab on to the "chocolate" part! I think it's the cocoa BEAN before it's processed and at least raw, correct?

I don't know about this -- I read The Real Age Diet one time, which I suspect this fact came from, and the way they extrapolated data was sometimes backwards. They noted that people who lived long lives tended to have healthy teeth. Therefore, they decided, if you want to live longer, you should get regular dental care. They failed to consider that healthy teeth might be a side-effect of overall health rather than a cause of it.

years ago I had a visit in another place to an old-time dentist. He told me that there had not yet been a generation of people who flossed from youth to old age so they really dont know the long-term effect of it. He advised against flossing as he said that it works to separate your teeth. My teeth were so tight that I couldn't get the floss between them easily however as I have aged my teeth have separated and the food does now get in there. I don't know when flossing came into popular use so I wouldn't know when the results of this flossing experiment on a large scale would be measurable. Raw teeth are so much cleaner but occasionally I will still get something stuck.

Well I think that the protein lowering blood pressure does not apply to me.
I have the lowest protein intake of anyone I know and also have the lowest blood pressure.

I can see this. Many people drink mint tea before they go to bed to help them sleep better ... it has a calming, relaxing effect. Maybe the scent of peppermint has the same effect on your brain and lulls you into a calmer state of mind.
