wheatgrass for a baby's cough?

I have a friend that has an 8 month old, who has had a terrible cough for 5 weeks now. I was thinking about what could help naturally, and was wondering is wheatgrass is ok to give to an infant, diluted with apple juice or something.

Any experience with this or suggestions?
