I presume they are raw and you bought them to do sprouts? If so, you need to soak them, sprout them and find a recipe for them. I tried raw hummus once and didn't like it at all. Haven't tried any other recipes.

Most who make raw hummus don't use chickpeas. They use zucchini.

I find the hummous made from Garbanzo beans a little tough to take so I generally make the zukini one.
If you want to make the garbanzo one you will either need tahini or sesame seeds to make your own.
Lemmon juice
Garlic
olive oil
ground cumin.
And the beans sprouted.

It will take a few days to sprout your beans, but that seems like it would work. I'm not sure about onion replacing garlic, though. I've never made g. bean hummus, I always use zucchini

I've seen the recipe for the zuccini hummus before. Does it taste more like regular hummus than sprouted garbonzo hummus? I've found the sprouted hummus to be a little too bitter.

If anything, sprouted garbanzo beans taste pretty good anyway.
