I love eating out.... I went to a raw restaurant in Santa Cruz called Cafe la Vie and it was really good but I spent $35 so that isn't awesome.... but here are some of my favorite placesz to eat out raw (or if I'm out and have to eat out these are places where I can easily be accomodated)

Mexican restaurants are great b/c you can get a salad with tons of fresh salsa and guac

Taco del Mar

Subway

Anywhere with a salad bar

Emerald Smootie

Orange Julius in a pinch, they have one vegan smoothie w/o added sugar or anything

It is funny, though, going out used to mean eating more food and more different foods than I was used to at home, but now most of the fun is in my own kitchen since places aren't geared towards interesting raw food

I like to eat at Quintessence. One of these days I'll try to hit Pure Food.

Nini..Applebees? Oh my goodness. The applebees here doesn't have anything like that. The salads all have meat in them and there are no fruits whasoever. Ruby Tuesday's has a decent salad bar here.

No where. I like to eat out in my living room, or outside...no establishment per se.

I like to eat Japanese because they have raw veggie hand rolls(no rice) and miso soup. Also mid-east cuisine has Fatouche a great garlic, sumac and lemon salad with fresh veggies. Thai is also great, raw thati salad is my fave!!

I bring my own food - so my favorite place to eat out is wherever my family or the cool people are eating! LOL.

I was at Applebees tonight, my first night out to dinner raw, and on the 30 day challenge.

I did order a salad, wrote down all the veggies I could find on the menu, and they brought me out a nice salad with lettuce, tomato, red onion, cuke, celery, broccoli and a tiny bit of shredded carrots. I can't complain because it actually tasted good with olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice. ;)

My favorite Raw Restaurant is in Toms River NJ-East Coast Vegan. Trying to find one closer to home though, but not many around yet. I want to try to get to Arnolds Way in Lansdale Pa soon too.

They have some raw foods on their menu. It just opened a couple of months ago. I've only been there once. When I visit my relatives in NYC, I'll be sure to stop by Bonobo's again :D.

Cafe Gratitude! All raw vegan organic. A little pricey, but I get out of there on $20. They have two restaurants in San Francisco, and one in Berkeley. And their food is amazing!

I've gotta agree with Rawbeliever! My son & his fiance took me to dinner there (Berkeley location) last weekend for my birthday... it was awesome! Funny, a few months ago (pre-raw, pre-vegan) I looked at their menu and about gagged, wondering how any of it could be tasty and some of it actually looked pretty creepy  Last weekend, I almost drooled looking at all my options and had trouble deciding what to get! So glad I changed how I eat!! :D

Yep! They always make me the most delicious salads and fruit plates. I give them my little "calling card" that tells them that I don't eat anything canned, processed, frozen, steamed, cooked, etc. and they comply. Usually the chef or manager comes out to talk to me first, but when I go back, they know me and make me a beautiful creation! I visit 4 different Applebees.

I don't go out to eat very often, but I always go there because they understand my raw lifestyle. My SAD family and friends can get what they want, too. Everyone's happy!

...and they have never charged me more than $7.00 for my dinner. I always have enough to take home for 2 - yes 2 - more meals!!!

I sure glad there are some Applebees that work well for eating raw! Happy news for you Nini! Our local Applebees is not like that at all, no substitutions on the menu and nothing even close to a totally raw salad or any fresh fruit. Oh well... not much in my area at all for raw eating!

We have one steak house that has an "okay" salad bar, a few Mexican Restaurants that I can get a totally plain salad with raw salsa, mostly very boring eats for a raw foodist.

So I mainly eat at home, when going to someone's house for a meal I always bring a big fruit platter and green salad and dressing. And usually a raw dessert.

I'd love to have some raw places around here to eat though, that would be awesome! I think we are too far out in the country for that, maybe sometime in the future though!
