Can anyone give me any opinions of this book? I have heard nothing but positive things about it, including a close friend of mine who is a physician's assistant who is reading it and quite impressed with it...what are your opinions?

It's very scientific. Dr. T. Colin Campbell was actually raised on a dairy farm and he wasn't even trying to prove that animal products are bad for you, but in his research, that's what he found. It's a great book.

I also think everyone should read this book!
If you haven't already, you can listen to his interview on Raw Vegan Radio. http://rawveganradio.podomatic.com/entry/2006-07-10T08_37_48-07_00

Excellent book, I also recommend everyone read it! I am giving a number of copies for Christmas gifts this year, to those I know are open to changing their diet for the better!

I LOVE the book!! It makes so much sense. He really explains the "whys" behind all of his findings. It definitely makes you think twice about the SAD lifestyle and appreciate becoming RAW! There are so many things that we as raw foodist no longer had to worry about! We know a lot of truth already just by switching to raw, but it's a good book to reference when or if anyone is questioning our way of living! Great Book. I ordered 15 books for my last health seminar and sold out! I am also thinking about giving it as a gift to everyone that I know who will truly appreciate it! It sells for $16.95 but you can find it on Amazon for around $10.50 plus shipping. Definitely worth every penny spent!

The book is amazing. Let's face it, some people are turned off by what they consider to be 'extremist' ideas on nutrition, animal welfare, environmental issies, etc.. name your topic. The China Study presents the information in a compeling, scientific manner instead of an 'alarmist' manner. I know that personally I'm more influenced by the factual, inteligently presented arguement than one presented purely on passion and emotional response. Arguements presented either way have merit, just I respond to the factual one better. It answers alot of questions I had about a vegan diet and is a great read!

It was wasted on me because I was already a believer but I am practically forcing my friends to read it.
My trainer has it at the moment and as soon as I get it back from him I will force it on someone else.
Everybody should read it.
