View Full Version : cooked food and "the sweats"...
Has this ever happened to you?
I've been basically 100% raw for a few weeks...and mostly raw for much longer...
Last might on my way home from work I "cheated". I have some honey roasted cashews and two slices of pizza. (not quite sure what lead me to chaet, but that's another story)
Anyway, almost immediately after consumming this poison I felt very hot and was sweating profusely. I recall this happening before, so i was wondering if anyone else has had this reaction.

Yeah, yet for me, it's called menopause.

LOL, I hear yah, Revvell!!!
Yes, I've had instant reactions to eating a bit of cooked in my raw journey, and man does it hit me hard.
diarhea, almost instantly in some cases, and headaches, sinus, ringing ears, dry mouth, itching in places we don't discuss in public, rashes on my face UGH!!
and countless other symptoms.
I just eat raw, and when and if I am tempted to eat cooked, UGH, I just don't go there, I'm still tempted when I smell something, but it doesn't look like food to me anymore, so I just enjoy the smell, but don't want that whatever it is in my body, so I don't eat it.
I also, find that I don't think much about food, unless I am hungry, so if I take a banana, or a bag of nuts with me it helps, I also take my brownies with me, now THAT cures any cravings, LOL
drink alot of water, and rest, allow your body to heal and detox all of that out of your system, you'll feel way better soonly.
and then eat raw again, we've all gone through this, so you are not alone.

Ahhhh, thanks for the brownie reminder. Leaving tomorrow for a conference and thinking what to bring that's filling.... RP's BROWNIES!!!! Yayyy! :D
Bringing my citrus juicer and some organic oranges as well.
When I eat cooked, the hot flushes come on; when I don't they don't. What does that tell me? lol

I had some small amounts of cooked food recently and yes, I did sweat a ton! It was my body's way of saying, no way, you can't eat this any more :) It was just cooked veggies and rice too at my Thai place...I'll stick to the raw apple salad next time :)

I use it to judge if a food (such as nuts) is cooked or not. If it is cooked I get the old flush almost immediatly.
