In a fit of cleaning brought on by my Master Cleanse fast, I scoured my kitchen top to bottom today. As I organized supplies, it occurred to me that I've felt better (less fibro symptoms) since I started storing my nuts in ziploc freezer bags in the refrigerator and put my dried fruit (raisins, dates, figs) in the cupboard.

I know those glass jars look pretty on our counters but I found that it leads me to snack too heavily on nuts, seeds and dried fruit during the day. This really seems to weigh me down in every way: symptoms flare up, my energy suffers and weight loss slows to a standstill.

What's more, fresh nuts have perishable oils in them and should really be refrigerated (IMHO ;) ) I have to be much more conscious about my snacking if they're out of sight. I get them out when I use them in recipes...Otherwise, I snack on fruits, veggies and flax crackers mostly.

Just thought I'd pass along this idea in case any of you feel you may be leaning too heavily on those nuts!

Melissa:
Thanks for the tip. I put all my nuts in Mason Jars in the fridge, but leave seeds in Mason jars in the cupboards. I don't have room on my countertops for nuts and seeds, hardly room for anything in fact!

Speaking of fibro, Melissa, have you read the free-download book at www.dyingtogetwell.com or visited www. rawandjuicy.com? She dealt with numberous ailments, but fibro was one of them -- all healed with raw.

I downloaded the ebook myself, I have fibro and would be interested in reading it. THanks for the tip!
