Today I went to the store and found my favorite water on sale. :)
Its quite pricey so I was very excited. It just got me thinking, on which is the best, since water is my #1 drink of choice.

What type of water do you drink? If bottled, which brand do you prefer?

Spring, distilled, do you use tap and use your own filter?

I like Evian or Fiji. I buy those in the litre bottles. For water in bigger quantitites, we get Arrowhead spring water.

I use tap water without a filter. Once I graduate we'll probably get a filter, but it's not a high priority for me as a poor college student.

Hawaii water. I buy several big bottles of it each week at the health food store. They're always trying to get me to buy a case of it because it would be cheaper that way, but I know if I did that my husband would just waste it. For one thing he doesn't seem to care what he is drinking. And the water he really likes is Dannon. To me Dannon has no flavor whatever. I can't stand the stuff. For another thing he has a habit of opening a huge bottle of water, taking a few sips and then leaving it to waste. I find all these opened bottles of water all over the house with only a few sips taken from them. Drives me nuts! If I only want a few sips I use tap water.

Normally I buy whatever is on sale at the grocery store so long as it's Spring water. That's usually Arrowhead in this area. Poland Springs when I was living on the east coast. I sometimes buy the store brand. I very rarely buy the filtered water although I have on occasion when it was all I could find. Although I prefer the Hawaii water, it's more expensive so I generally only buy it a bottle at a time and drink it right away.

There is a natural spring near here that is purported to have really good water. The place is always packed! The water is free but you have to bring your own containers. Perhaps one day I'll go get some of that. I have to drive by it on the way to my parents house so it would be an easy stop, although parking isn't always available because it gets so much traffic.

tap, no filter, I have an artesian well, no chlorean, it's excellent, many of my friends, bring their bottles to fill. LOL

I'm blessed.

My absolute favorite is Fiji but it's kind of expensive. My least favorite is Aquafina as it has this weird plasticy aftertaste.

LOL @ Revvell's quick wit.

I buy purified drinking water in the bottle... whatever is on sale for the little pint bottles for the gym, or the big ol' gallons I try to get Arrowhead.

Tap water here is NASTY.

Distilled.

Or if I have to buy some at the store, I always get Smart Water.

I love Fiji. Lately though, I have been drinking Penta after I heard how good it was. I really like the taste of it.

I'm not that picky. If i'm at a restaurant, i'll drink the tap water they give me, even though it tastes like it came straight out of a swimming pool.
At home, I rarely drink my tap water. I buy cheap like 89 cent gallons of distilled or spring water and keep them in the fridge. In recipes/smoothies, etc, I just use tap.

I'm trying to cut back on the amount of plastic I'm using (i.e. the individual water bottles I take to the gym)

I'm trying to find a good, reusable leak-proof container that I can wash well and reuse for my water.

I am a fan of Penta. I started in 2002 and I do have to say that is when my running increased from 7 miles to 12 miles a day! Speed increased as well.

Lately, I've crossed between Trinity (disct'd) Penta and distilled. I use distilled when I am putting lemon or herb extracts.

Yesterday at the store I saw some pricey water (wish I could remember what they called it).....anyway they say that the molecules are broken down (smashed water) so that it hydrates your cells better. Who would have thought one could improve on nature? Is it safe?

I am glad I found this post as i was just about to start another with the same question.

I was curious to know what kind of water raw foodist drink.

I have been drinking purified water, and spring water.

I just started buying and will buy Steam Distilled water for at home for now on to drink. I will try to bottle my own distilled for travel, but if I have to I guess I will have to use some Spring or Purified water at times too.

No misslinda - the store has their own brand on it and the advertising does not concentrate on the cleanliness so much as the broken down structure that hydrates you better - personally I am suspicious of someone wanting to alter the structure of water and the supposed benefits of it. I'll take the original thank you!

Along with the spring water and the occasional dead distilled water, one of my favorite bottled waters is EVIAN WATER!!
It has no after taste at all to me :D , even the spring water that I'm currently using has a very mild after taste, but if it's cold I barely even notice it.

misslinda, the store is named "Sprouts". Their website does not say about the "structured water." I am typing off the back of the brochure that I picked up in the store.

"What is Sprouts Structured Water?

Sprouts Structured Water is water that has been re-configured to support intra-cellular hydration. Sprouts Structured Water is reverse-osmosis 'live' water, free of chemicals and deposits. Enjoy the light clean taste. Try our Sprouts Special Structured Water 'Concentrate' ... this is a convenient way to take Structured Water with you when you travel or to add to your 5 gallon cooler at home."

inside..."Structured Water is water that has been restructured to consist of small clusters of water molecules as opposed to normal, larger clusters of water molecules."

They claim that it helps to restore the bodies pH and cleanse the cells even of free radicals. Supposedly when we are young our bodies have almost 100% structured water but by middle age it is only 50% so they are kind of selling a fountain of youth with this water also.

I really like the store but I guess I am getting resistant to all this hype anymore. Anybody else hear of this stuff? and if so what do you think of it? Have you tried it?

misslinda

OIC, along the lines of Penta also.

I have been a fan of Penta since 2001. It goes thru a patented purification process....I believe it is like 200 layers. the water molecules are broken down so the body can utilize them more efficiently.

Personally, I have had nothing but RESULTS with Penta. I switched over to Distilled for some time and came back to Penta and in the last few days, has been incredible reuslts from...........releasing extra fluides, hydration, energy and a [second] bowel movement which I dont' get drinking distilled or spring.

Plus the fact that Iron men athletes and other wold athletes have used Penta and achieved results......I tested it in 2001 when I ran about 6.8 to 7 miles a day. Within a month, I was doing 10 miles......before my neck and bakc injury, I was easily doing 15 plus miles a day /6 days a week and not tired at all.

I'm curious if anyone here drinks Penta and know what I mean about the results?

:)

Be forewarned Luckitri, it's pricey :D but I'd be interested in how you like it say after a week of using it. Cheeper to buy it by the case instead

Diverting from this topic misslinda, I accepted your invitation and read your "scribbling" wow. I really think the "no pain no gain" maxim is misapplied when used to describe the benefits of exercise - I think it means for the mental-emotional philosophical insights one gets through life. You are in excellent company - which I think that you already know (?)

oh Yeah it IS Pricey! A case is $27.99 plus tax. In the summer heat that is not even half a weeks worth. I AM however drinking alot less water due to all the raw food I eat. It will be awhile before I can do this.

I like Evian best but it is expensive. I buy a couple of big bottles and use it to make milk. And then I buy mostly what's on sale. But I enjoy the taste of Deer Park the most. It just tastes good to me. I don't like the taste of most purified water.....I bought a bottle of Sam's Club purified water while at a yard sale this summer and yuck!!! It tasted like dead water. I have the problem of my family opening bottles of water and not finishing them also. I try to use those to water my plants because it's better than using tap water with the floride in it. We do have a Pur water filter on our kitchen sink but it doesn't get rid of the floride.

I like ICELAND SPRINGS.

Second would be Hawaiian Springs

Third Fiji

I asked David Wolfe, and he said he likes Iceland Springs the best too.. For tea, soaking, ect I use filtered tap (reverse osmosis).. I tried drinking it, but it gives me a headache after a while. weird
