I feed my rats lots of fresh food! Although lately, they haven't been getting much because we've had a lot of ants and they get into the rat cages and it's just a big ol' mess!

LOL! you're little fruity rat houses crack me up! Are they territorial? Do they each have one that belongs to them, and only them? Or do they share? And wow, those are definitely some well fed rats.

When they were babies they all shared the houses. They used to stuff themselves into one of them! I have a picture somewhere of ten little rat babies all inside the strawberry house! When we separated the rats, we gave the pear to the boys and the orange to the girls. The strawberry went to one of the boys who was in a separate cage because of an injury he had. I had to throw the pear away because it go SO dirty! It was so gross!! Plus, the boys are too big to even fit their head in now! haha! We still have the orange, and it mainly belongs to one of the girls, Truffles. She loves it! She's always sleeping in it(the girls are much smaller than the boys) Although sometimes, her (almost) identical sister WonTon will steal it hehe. It's so weird to think that at one point, all ten of the rats could fit in one of the houses and now only one girl can fit in one!

hehe, I give them lots of good treats! When we took Bebop(the injured boy I mentioned) to the vet, we had pine nuts for treats for him and the vet commented on how "mommy and daddy buy expensive treats!" hehe! :rolleyes: :D When I make fancy recipes, and by fancy I mean like nut-date crusts etc lol, I give them the leftover crust mix and they just love it!! They fight over the pieces and tumble all around, it's adorable! hehe

Yeah, I had these awhile back. I bought 4. I ate one and my mom ate one. I wasn't crazy about them so I used the other 2 in a recipe that called for tomatoes.
