I know we have had a lot of women post on here about hair, but how about the men? Are there any men on here who have had positive changes in hair loss? If you were loosing your hair, did it stop or even start growing back in?

I'm just wondering because my boyfreind just started on raw a little over a month ago and he wanted me to ask. He's been at 100% for a month. He is 30 and is almost completely bald on top and the hair that he does have is in poor shape. It's dry and brittle and falls out soooo easily. He has already noticed many positve changes. To name a few: his pre-arthritic conditions in his hands and feet, they are gone now. His doctor told him he would have RA before too long and he said that in the moring it would take an hour for the swelling in his feet to go down. No more swelling AT ALL! and his fingernails and toenails were very mottled and in horrible shape are starting to look normal again. He only had a few pounds to loose, maybe ten, and they are coming off, but he had a small double chin that is going away and his rosacea and a dry skin condition is almost gone as well. All of this in 30 days! I am so happy for him! He is totally sold on raw now. Any testimonies? :) TIA

I have not had any baldness, though my hair is thicker at the sides than at the top (which is why I put it in two ponytails, besides that that's a good way to keep cool in hot weather, which is now irrelevant). I have had no discernible growth in the past two months, though my nails have been growing, so it might be variations in humidity or different people holding the tape measure or lots of S&D. I haven't noticed any gray going away.

My foot arthritis is getting better, and I am losing weight. My nails are stronger and better shaped (but this must have started before raw, as it takes several months for a nail to grow its length).

I'm about 80% raw and my hair doesn't fall out anymore. Before, after a shower when I dried my hair it would just be everywhere, whereas now I have to hunt for even just one hair - I love it!

Genetics does have a lot to do with hair though!!

I am not totally raw, and I add the following essential oils to my shampoo:

- lemon
- rosemary
- Bay st thomas
- lavendel
- ceder
- Pine (the "arve")

It is to soon to see if it is improving, but it certainly stays the same, maybe better

My hair turned darker and the grey (which was plentiful and almost white :p ), has just about disappeared.

Thanks guys! He is using a herbal spray on his hair, but it's only been a week and I am sure it's not going to happen over night. I just don't see why men's hair can't grow back as well as long as the right conditions and nutrition is applied. Mabye if the person is young enough. Time will tell....

Yes. I was the MOST balding man in my family. After being raw for a number of years....I found that my hair had grown back and thickened rather perceptably. Of course, my brothers (much younger) have since lost much of theirs. LOL. The comparison is pretty amusing! ;)

Are you familiar with Gary Null? He's been around for a long time, especially popular in the NYC area. He contends that men can regrow their lost hair through using a nutritional approach. He says the most important ingredient is chlorophyll, which of course is found in leafy greens. He is a big advocate of supplements and markets his own products. Although Gary has much good information, my personal feeling is he borders on a quack. Never the less if you check out his web sight you will find information about a current study he is conducting on regrowing lost hair.
