I have dealt with candida for a long long LONG time. I have had chronic yeast infections, sugar addiction, coffee addiction, joint pain, skin problems, etc etc.

Now, at 100% raw and at 7 days without any coffee, I am totally breaking out, I woke up with a bad yeast infection ( uggghh! too bad for hubby), and have been having serious sugar and caffeine/coffee cravings today.

Is this what happens when your body begins to detox from candida, or is this just a bad bout of luck?

I would love to cleanse from candida and be free from it's ravages FOREVER!

Has anyone else with candida ever dealt with this type of thing?

DO TELL!!!

I have found that candida can be aggravated by an all raw diet if you are eating food combinations that you shouldn't be eating. Fat and sugar together is the abomination for candida, which means all raw desserts. I got really bad when I was eating dates with almond butter, raw pies, etc. A simultaneously high fat and high sugar diet aggravates candida, whether it's all raw or not.

I suggest you eat garlic, or if you can't stomach it or it drives your hubby off further, leek or onions.

I have been trying young coconut for candida and it seems to be working. I have been doing the coconut longer than raw - I was searching and I found those and then I found raw. I haven't been hungry for fruit at all really so I haven't had to worry about the sugar. Eventually I will have to find some kind of test to know that the candida is gone. Google young coconut or use the banana search here - it has been discussed many times - but the sites for young coconut - many of them specifically say it will kill candida.

I found that I was detoxing too much being on the raw food. I am doing a cleanse called Yeast busters for now and I am not on a 100% raw diet, once I get healthier I am going to incorportate more raw food into my diet. I haven't tried the coconuts but I am going to now pick some up on the way home

Here are some excerpts from articles I found online.

"Traditional treatment are available in plenty as cure for candida. Out of the traditional treatments for cure for candida, usage of garlic, potassium sorbate, tea tree oil, oregon grape root, and boric acid. Tea tree oil or oregon grape root is mixed in warm water and then the area affected by candida is rinsed as a part of the natural cure for candida. Boric acid or borax is used to kill the persistant fungi. This is filled in capsules and inserted in the vagina every day in the night for a week as a cure for candida. As a natural cure for candida some people apply a past of elm powder created with water, to get relief from vulva itching. Another natural cure for candida is the usage of cranberries to cure the infections in the urinary tract. Cranberries have vitamin-C which fight against the bacteria in the urinary tract. This lowers the pH of the urine and help in fighting against the urinary yeast infections."

Here's another great site: http://www.cure-it-yourself.com/Yeast%20Infection.htm
