Going to a chilli cook off/ ugly cake contest get together and was wondering if anyone could pass me a good chilli recipe to bring. Also any ideas for which raw cake to bring and present it. It has to be edible though. Corn bread recipes as well but no biggy, it would be nice to have for family too. Bringing Raw foods to a usually SAD eating group...would like to introduce to them that raw is tasty.

Recipes please? Next Saturday is the contest and need to go for the items this next week. Help!

There was a chili recipe in this thread (probably last month). It was super delicious. If I have time I will do a search for you, but I have to leave to pick my kids up now!

I'm extremmely interested in any good chilli recipes, I am a Texan after all :D

I just tried searching and all I really found that was of any use is in a book, which I cannot really buy at the moment. It's how I found this thread actually.

What if you don't have a dehydrator? Is there something I can do or use that acts similarly? My oven perhaps?

It is just as good without dehydrating it!

Thanks! I'll be making some of this tomorrow!

So... for the 30 day raw challenege thing, is this ok to have? Olive Oil has alot of fat per teaspoon I think, yet this uses 1/4th a cup? Though it is better than 1/3rd which I found on another recipe just recently too.

Thank you for posting the link Rawkinlocs, I wanted to try this! I made it for dinner tonight and wow is it good! Very rich and filling.

The only changes I made-I didn't have any red pepper or leeks so I just put some onion in it. I also left out the olive oil, didn't seem to make a difference in taste or texture and I don't eat any added salt so I left that out too.

Very yummy!

So the oil's not needed? That's good to hear.

RWB-I don't think the oil is needed at all. This was wonderful and I actually think I wouldn't have liked it with the oil added.

I also didn't dehydrate it, it was fine just as is! I would add some corn to it the next time, that flavor would really combine well with the sauce and other veggies.
