My husband just loves those wasabi peas. I was thinking about trying to make them in the dehydrator. \\

Probably not raw unless you know you have the real thing:

I use wasabi. The best wasabi (other than fresh) is made from the powdered, dehydrated wasabi root. If you shop carefully, perhaps at a Japanese store, you can find one with no additives, no color, no fake flavors, etc. A good chef will stir the wasabi powder with liquid into a glass, then invert the glass on a plate. This way the fumes it gives off re-concentrate themself into the wasabi, and you get really amazing wasabi that is guaranteed to give you "wasabi head" if eaten in quantities. :)
