Has anyone ever heard of or used Flor Essence?

http://www.florahealth.com/Flora/Home/usa/Products/R68090_More.asp

My father-in-law has cancer. It started in his prostate about 8 years ago. He had his prostate removed back then, and about 6 months ago, his blood count went back up.

He did about 4 chemo treatments and has decided to stop, because there were no positive results occuring. He is deteriorating quickly. Thankfully, he is now working with a doctor that has him on a HIGH RAW diet.

This is something we came across and I just wanted to put it out to you all and see if anyone has any thoughts or experiences with it. He really needs to get all the chem. out!

Thanks!

Before I found out about a raw food diet, I tried this. I was using it as I was eating cooked vegetables. It really seemed to make me detox a lot. I had horrible headaches and a really runny nose/sinus problems. I'm not sure if it was actual detox or just my body reacting to whatever is in that stuff. I know that Dr. Graham does not suggest using products such as this. He would recommend a supervised fast, and I think that would be optimal. The quickest way to restore the body's health is with rest and water fasting. If that is not feasible, I suggest a mono-fruit fast (maybe oranges or something). I would recommend a consult with Dr. Graham as he has plenty of experiences with this. I hope your loved one is healthy soon.

I have used Essiac Tea which is the original version of Flor-Essence. Flor-Essence is the ready-made commercial version.

I buy the Essiac Tea in bulk on the Net. It is much cheaper this way. There are 2 kinds, one with 4 herbs, and one with 8. I have both kinds and use them alternately. I don't have time for the arguments over which kind is the original. All the herbs are good.

Since I had ovarian and endometrial cancer, it does correspond with prostate. I would certainly continue to encourage your father-in-law to use it. If it does cause a reaction, use a little less to start. Or just start with less and work up. I use about 3-4 oz. per day in either hot or cold water. Please don't discount Essiac. It has a strong history.

The herbs are meant for medicine. I don't think we should discount their use.

The food that we eat should be as clean and healthy as possible. That is what we are all doing here. For already established disease, stronger measures are called for.
