I assume this is detox but mine is very heavy painful menstral cycle with lots of clots (sorry to be graphic) I haven't had a period like this in years.
eatyourbroccoli I hope you don't mind me asking but I was curious what kind of digestive detox you were having, very interesting.

I got really, really thin for about 5 months. Then I came up to (almost) normal weight within 3 or 4 weeks!

It spread over the top part of my body and it was so bad that i itched day and night. It lasted for a couple of days and seemed to go away but then it came back with force. It was odd and i'm so glad it's over. :) :) :)

ive lost my appetite quite a bit. i eat maybe 1/2 of what i used to, if even that, yet im using the bathroom the same amount if not more.
and my tummy constantly makes weird gurgly noises. not like its rumbling, but lower down like my intestines are workin really hard at something.
unusual

the strangest detox stymptom for me, would have to be.......
one sided weakness, left side of my body followed by extreme crying and then it's relieved.

i have been having all these weird things going on in my mouth.
canker sores on my gums, pain and tightness around my teeth, and the weirdest of all is that i think my taste buds are falling off.
a few near the front of my tongue are completely red and totally painful. someone suggested green juices might help. i dont have a juicer but my kick ass blender should be able to whip something up. i havent had any green juices before.. any recipe suggestions?

I think I have the chicken pox again....
I have small red dots over chest, stomach, thighs. They itch real bad sometimes and are barely going away. As the they start to diminish, new ones appear. That seems rally wierd to me.
The first ones are starting to fade. It took 10 days just to start to heal...

I've never understood people who could cry out of happiness or silly things -
but know, man - I'm like my menopausal mom :D
Yeaterday I watched a swedish cartoon and started crying out loud because everyone was so happy in the end - and I'm not even swedish *lol*!
and the other day in class a girl sang "Stay tonight" by eagle eye cherry - I don't have a special connection to the song, and she is not an amazing singer - not bad by any means either, but suddenly my eyes welled up (can you say that?? :o ) and I started crying violently because she looked so happy and proud and I could see that she really loved the song !
So now I know what it feels like to cry out of happiness - And I love it btw - very freeing!

My oddest detox(I wasn't expecting) was getting random bruises which disappeared within a few days. It was speculated to maybe have been my missing some nutrients as well, but the bruises were the only weirdest anything on this journey so far.
Plus, I didn't expect to lose so much weight in a short amount of time & still feel healthier than I was before.

So when you are detoxing, does getting a colonic help keep these symptoms to a minimum? Because I don't like the detox symptoms, I feel sick and nauseous and headachy all the time. :( I'm thinking colonic.....anyone????

Freebee - I used to be a hydrotherapist. I believe that it does allow for more detox to move out swifter. I do believe it is helpful, but I believe that healing through raw alone and not doing them is near perfect. I do not do colonics anymore myself, but on an as needed basis when I am struggling to get through a difficult detox I have been known to do an at home enema of just luke warm water.

 I was really grumpy for the first few weeks. I take bowel cleansing herbs often. If I was bad and cheated  I would make sure to take digestive enzymes, acidophilis, and 'poop pills' to make sure everything moved thru quickly!

My skin has been super, ultra dry - even my palms are starting to get cracked, it's really weird. Mostly it's my feet and hands, and they're looking wrinkled on the palms too. Lotion won't touch it - coconut oil helps for about 5 minutes. I'm taking 3 T. of Udo's a day, plus lots of coconut oil internally & externally but no change. It's been like this for about 3 weeks. hmmmm....

Thanks! Maybe I'll skip spending the money and just do an enema at home.
My middle upper back always hurts really bad when I go thru some detox and thats how I always know Im detoxing.

My strangest detox symptom was definitely the emotional detoxing. I did so much research prior to going raw and I expected everything else, but that. By day 15 or 16, I completely lost it...was crying for most of the day, old issues resurfaced, etc.
I ended up quitting eat raw and all vegetables (cookied/uncooked) for a good week as a means to stop the emotional detox. It worked, but now I'm struggling to get back to 100%.
