So now I see that some GM rice that is not approved for human consumption has crept into the food supply and they still haven't figured out where all of it is. What I want to know is if someone eats this stuff that is not approved (or even the approved gm foods) what happens to them? I have missed the information that tells what it does to us. Please help send me in the right direction to learn this.

I do not think that anybody knows yet and even if it does not do us any harm (unlikely) it may show up in our offspring

Well I have heard news that nations with starving people have refused our free food shipments because they don't want the genetically modified - they must know something - personally if I were starving I would probably be happy to eat it - so it must be something really bad.
I believe that GMO's are the most dangerous factor facing the continuation of human life on this planet. Millions of years of evolution are being disrupted in the space of little more than a decade!!!
You can grow plants primarily just using three chemicals: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium (NPK). But these plants are weak and very susceptible to disease!
You can grow people primarily just using three nutrients: Proteins, Carbohydrates, Fats along with a few vitamins. But these people are weak and very susceptible to disease!
We need the foods that nature has provided us throughout our entire evolution, not those provided us by arrogant, profit seeking, ignorant fellow humans!!!
There are two mandatory books:
Seeds of Deception by Jeffrey M. Smith
Empty Harvest by Bernard Jensen and Mark Anderson

GM foods are actually very resistant to things such as bugs. They are bred for that purpose, to be a more profitable crop and cut down on pesticides. I'm not promoting them, but trying to clear up the situation.
The reason countries do not want GM food, even when starving, is because they are afraid that it will in turn hurt their economy. They don't mind feeding starving people, but they are afraid that those people will also plant some of the food. This will create a problem because then those peoples' cattle and other livestock will be fed GM grain and corn. THIS may present a problem because other countries will then not trust their meat, which is a major economic resource for them. No one will want to buy their meat since everyone is so skeptical of GM food and the country will deteriorate even further.
They are not concerned about human nutrition directly, but more of what it will do to the reputation of their exports if they allow it to mix with the natural produce. It's an indirect chain, but a concern for them. They are trying to find ways to feed starving people, but contain the GM food to keep someone from hoarding it secretly and then harvesting it and "infecting" their livestock.

There's a lot more to the refusal of food aid. We don't "give" the 3rd world nations anything. Everything we give is in the form of a loan of some sort which ultimately harms the other country's economy tremendously. Our government is not the saint that they make themselves out to be at all!
The issue of gm seeds is really horrific. They have a terminator seed which Monsanto tried to get approval for years back and had to pull back on it. Now, however, they are seeking approval for it again and in this political climate are very likely to win approval. This is a sterile seed, and will force farmers to purchase seeds from them year after year as they will not be able to save their seeds. Much like corn and rapeseed(canola), which is now universally contaminated by gmo's in the united states and most of canada, the terminator seed, if released, will quickly contaminate whatever crop it is released in.
They mean to control the food supply absolutely. This is a total horror as if something goes wrong, all the plants will be sterile...something much like the irish potato famine can occur with much worse consequence.
Additionally, the government is now seeking approval to spray all fruits and veggies (article made it sound like a mandate, not sure if organic would be spared..I would imagine so) with fluoride.
Very horrific agendas on the horizon by the madmen in control.
