Hey,

I have been swamped this week, a double work load. No time to relax and barely enough time to eat. I haven't ate the best raw food, but I did survive the most challenging week of being 100% raw ever. It wasn't even really hard, although I don't feel like I had enough nutrition this week. Just would eat enough quickly to kill the hunger pains.

Any of you had a week like this? How did you cope? What were your challenges? What would you do different next time?

I knew this was coming yet I didn't prepare for it. Next time I think I would make up some recipes and stick in the fridge and freezer.

You got it right! Preparation is the key. I throw fruits in a bag and take them with me to work every day. Most times, I am able to take a longer lunch...because I don't even have to get up to go get something!

Oh I know how hard it is!! I have simple fruits and veggies in my fridge and nuts. I make a large batch of smoothies and keep it in the fridge as well. Or you can freeze it, take it with you in the morning and semi-frozen smoothies at lunch! I'm having a hard time too and have been going out to eat lately. I typically get a salad or something or get some kind of salad from the mall food court. Take along some trail mix!!

The less time I have, the more basic foods I eat. Why juice apples when I can just eat them and not make the mess? At work, when it's busy, I am finding it difficult to sit and eat with a knife and fork uninterupped so next week, it will be easy to eat food. Or easy to drink food. I also want to come home and find things ready to eat in the fridge - washed lettuce, salad dressing made in advance, shelled coconut. Broke a meat cleaver on a young coconut today. Do they sell difficult-fruit cleavers anywhere? :)

If you have an asian market close, they sell solid stainless steel cleavers. They are very heavy and thick. You could cut a tree down w/ it if you needed to. I bought one for $7.95
